On many of my vehicles, especially off-road ones, I've done products like this around everything that opens: doors, hood (frunk in this case), tailgates, etc. They also work very nicely for edge dulling and preventing water egress. With proper fitting and installation with the right product, I've used boat hatch seals to make my Jeep's doors water proof up to the window seam. Has anyone tried this, yet? Or is the CT sufficiently sealed that they aren't necessary?
I realize that most of the active CT owners are busy adding shiny wraps and fretting over finger prints, and no, these don't look particularly good but are highly functional. Just as a bit of background on me, I'm not the type to care about finger prints, scratches, and dings on the outside of my trucks, but I do like to keep the inside clean and free of dust/water/mud when I can!
