Yep, waiting. Number 1, don't need FS extras or premium. Number 2, prefer the title to say 2025. Number 3, qualify next year for $7500, but probably not this year, and will order variant that qualifies.

I did not make my reservation until about three months after the CT event and supposedly hundreds of thousands of people were ahead of me. I assumed that my number would come up next year so I bought a new model Y which I really love. Does anyone know why I would be offered it so soon?
Foundation Series will most likely stop at 20-25k trucks or EoY..

Many past waiting for the dual motor to come out under 80k and take advantage of the 7500 rebate. They can keep their place in line. But there's going to be a huge rush in 2025 a backup. I was about 750,000 in line I ordered 6 months after they showed it. I got my invitation May 30th. I ordered a beast because only about 15% are ordering Beasts... so there should only be a few thousand Foundation Series tri motor Beasts.... I too figured end of 2025. You only live once.... My 70th birthday present.... ?

I suspect a lot of people don’t see the value in the FS on top of the CT cost being so much higher than originally slated. I understand rising costs associated with inflation but when I put the order in, the expectation was $70k/500mi/tri-motor. As an FS, that truck is $50k more and has 30% less range. I’d love to get a new work truck right now, love the CT but I just can’t justify the pricing. I don’t want to pay for any of the extras the FS is coming with.

There was a post somewhere else that basically stated the value is, for example, for a person with my RN 1173xxx. I would be waiting till early 2027 to get a cybertruck , but I might be able to get one this year. I plan on keeping it for 7-10 years ideally.. so the premium connectivity value is 7-10k right there. FSD at 8k value could be a bargain if they solve it to unsupervised level in the next 5 years.. as Elon has mentioned how that cost will go up significantly…
Plus I don’t qualify for the tax credit, so 79k (with no options and 99k with options equates to about $300 extra a month and I get the truck 2 years earlier.

My only ā€œtaxā€ is being an early adopter where all the kinks might not be worked out and/or things like rear camera washer will be added in later models.. but that is like anything.. later models always get better.

Just my two cents in that there is value for some (obviously)

As I really wanted to be able to haul a trailer, 318 mile range just isn’t enough. I know there’s an extended battery coming for an extra 16 K but it takes up space in the bed of the truck. I don’t qualify for the tax credit, so I would be tempted, but I have a new model Y and i already have power walls.

My RN is 1143xx so take that for what it’s worth
My RN is 1133xxx. I got the invitation on 5/29/24, one week before you. So next week, people with ~RN1153 will get the invite, and so on.

CyberTW with RN1173xxx will probably get the invite in 3 weeks based on the current rate.

Gosh that would be wild. I almost can’t think about it haha. I literally got a model 3 a year ago to take advantage of Oregon and federal tax stuff. I names it Ted Lasso as it had a 3 season story arc. I figured I would keep the car until I got my CT (in 3 years) because I was so far down the list. If I got the invite within a few weeks …?

Every time he says that the price ends up going down instead.

Do you honestly believe they will make such a moneymaker free? Or incredibly cheap? The better the AI gets?
