Interesting. I’ll definitely bring this up to Coleton when I talk to him (my truck was the one in the Out of Spec video done with Protectaclear). But it still requires a technique to put it on evenly. I checked out other sharkhide videos and people complain about streaks and other non-perfect things). It’s all technique to getting a smooth and good looking appearance. DIY Metal is not perfect, nor Protectoclear. Like with Protectoclear I like that different layers meld into each other.
Yeah. The streaks are usually from not having it clean first. I really didn’t have any problems after the 2nd coat.

Can't wait to see a comparison. This video and technique were definitely quicker! Is that difference because of technique or the product????

Time will tell.....

seems similar to ProtectaClear, I would love anyone with knowledge or experience with both to compare these 2
Im on it! Just ordered. I have experimented with now 27 different cleaners, coatings, polishes. Gonna give real, unbiased, non paid for review. Post after I receive and test.

I came across this video on sharkhide product that is meant to protect metals. I have seen it used in the boating industry. This guy covers the application on the Cybertruck.

Read up on it. To remove it requires Lacquer Thinner. Which means that you have to be extremely careful around plastics. Once again, let you know after I get it and test it out.

The box I had it in dumped over in the bed and a little leaked out. I’ll have to test a few solvents to see what will take it up without damaging the plastic. Any suggestions?

I believe the product allows for a better approach to application.

Will product 28 be the charm?
I hope this works better than some other metal coatings, they are a Mother to work with. But if you watch the video that is posted, it still leaves fingerprints. Yes, maybe they remove easier, but there are still fingerprints. But I get the same results with Sprayway and there is no coating on it. Just an observation.

Looks very promising. Has anyone applied it? The look in sun is the real test

So it doesn’t actually leave fingerprints normally. Sticky greasy little boys do leave smudges. But I’ve been touching the doors for several days now with no prints at all. It also will last for a year or more. Let me know what you think of it and if you have questions about application I would be glad to talk about it.

I’m trying to get the actual make up of the bed. I don’t know exactly what it is. Is it 100% plastic or are there other components that are blended into it. I would maybe dampen a rag with WD-40 and maybe dab it. Will figure it out.
