What about the radius edge turn on steel body panel plates?Elon has said he wants to build locally. As there is no way for Tesla to meet the US demand in the next few years, our best bet is manufacturing in Berlin or some other yet to be built location. I was hoping 2024 but looks more like 2027 atm.
EU regulations are not the issue. We have RAMs and F150s. We have busses, semi-trucks, delivery-vans tractors and harvesting machines. Please lay off the "Europe roads and regulations will stop the CT"-narrative. I'm absolutely amazed by the ignorance of people in the new world. Lived there 1976-1980.
Huh?Haha. Please give an example of a vehicle permitted by your liberal government that we have banned in all European countries.
And how would that prevent an Italy-made CT from being sold in the EU?There are a number of US laws that are prohibiting features that are in Europe from baing activated in the US, like the newer headlights.
I'm pretty sure those weren't his words.Elon stated on the shareholders meeting that Tesla will certify the Cybertruck for Europe next year. So maybe I was pesimistic with the 2027 prediction. (Certification implies tweaks to meet EU regulations - obviously, given all previous tesla models)
So we agree the modifications made for the international version will certify it for EU in the 2026-2027 timeframe?I'm pretty sure those weren't his words.
I believe that it was that they would look into getting the process started with the changes need for European certification.
As it sits, the Cybertruck cannot be certified in the EU. Elon mentions that changes would have to be made.
