Haven’t had any issues with my CT or Model Y. Neither have my friends with their cars. We use it almost everyday here in Arizona.

I just installed 2024.20.3. It said it had minor fixes and improvements.
I have 2024.20.3 but what I heard from a few podcasters is that Tesla is still working on resolving the issue so it sounds like the latest firmware doesn't resolve the issue

Wait...You have an issue with Dog Mode?

Can you describe the problem in detail? I still don't understand the symptoms of the issue.

I dont have an issue ...yet or that Ive noticed but here is a link to an article on Teslarati

https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-dog-mode-issues-owners-report/

Ive also heard 4 people that have had the same issue
I already read the article, but it didn't describe what the fault is beyond vague insinuations that Tesla has admitted there is a problem. And it quotes Tesla saying that it was a "known characteristic of Tesla firmware" but it doesn't say what that characteristic is, or whether it's even a fault. In other words, there is zero evidence Dog Mode has a problem.

Everything I've read is consistent with an air conditioner that has lost its charge of refrigerant (or is not working well for other reasons), including the owner saying the A/C didn't work on the drive home either.

Nothing indicates a problem specific to dog mode. Please enlighten me as to what the actual facts are.

The issue with dog mode is that it's not keeping the cabin cool on hot days when activated.

Yes, but the person who reported that also reported their air conditioner was not keeping themselves cool on the drive home either. That seems more like a faulty air conditioner than a problem with Dog Mode.

Using common sense, wouldn't you agree?

There have been a ton of reported problems with the AC in the last 2 updates. Basically they randomly start blowing warm air. It's likely part of that issue. Tesla Service acknowledging it doesn't mean much, they said "to be fixed in future release" to just about everything.

But yes, not specific to dog mode. It sucks that the issue is random, so it could just blowing cold while in dog mode and the dog can't let anyone know.

I have had 2 issues with Dog Mode in my FS AWD since getting it in mid-May. I use Dog Mode all the time as I have a puppy (pic left) and he goes everywhere I go:

1. When I go to initiate Dog Mode (in car) sometimes the HVAC screen drops before I can select Dog Mode
2. When I go to terminate Dog Mode (in car) sometimes it will not terminate until I start driving

I am not certain whether I have experienced Dog Mode stopping to cool the car. One recen t afternoon I thought I had turned on Dog Mode at a Home Depot and, when I returned about 20 minutes later, it was hot in the car and my puppy was panting. It might have been me and it might have been this problem. I do not know.

I generally wait, after turning on Dog Mode, until the car is near the target temperature, before leaving for more than a few minutes. That is to make sure that it is working. During such times I really have no way to monitor whether it is turning off as I am in the water.

That is not [at least not universally] true. I use Dog Mode most every day and when I am going to be away from the truck for more than a few minutes I wait and watch the temperature drop until it is below 70 inside the cab before leaving. I have also configured the back seat vents to point to my dog crate. My puppy always seems happy enough, and I always (except once, as noted elsewhere) check the cabin temperature when I get back.

Question: Once you enable dog mode, can you monitor the cabin's temperature via the app to ensure the A/C is working once you are in the store? I definitely want the piece of mind that my dogs are not overheating while I am away from the truck.
