So, my truck has been great with no operational issues since I got it in March...until this morning. I drove to an appointment, all was normal. But, when I got back into the truck, I heard this loud clicking noise from somewhere in the right side of the dashboard, above the glovebox. It didn't stop, all the way home until I got out of the truck. The clicking stops as soon as the door is shut. As soon as I open either door, the clicking starts up again. I rebooted the screen, no change. The clicking noise stops when I get out and close the door, and starts up again as soon as any door is opened and the truck wakes up. Anyone heard of this before? I can't tell if it's a mechanical clicking or it's an electrical arcing sound.

Welp, I just checked the truck again and the mysterious clicking noise has stopped. No idea what caused it or what stopped it. It sounded like a loud metronome timer. I had installed the new software update yesterday 2024.20.7, maybe it had something to do with this and has re-set itself? It's a mystery....

Nope, I drove the truck on a short errand and the clicking noise is back! It's actually coming out of the right A-pillar speaker, so it's probably a sound system issue. I tried to get a service appointment, but the soonest is 2 weeks from now. Will be stopping by the SC today to see if there's an easy fix and if it's something they've seen before....

I’ve been trying to upload it since yesterday, hope it takes it today:

Trying again, it just gets stuck at 100% uploaded, but won’t attach. Not sure why.

I just showed the video clip to my service advisor and he said he’s never heard that sound before. Will have to make a service appointment for the diagnostic guys to check it out…appointments are now 2 weeks out. It’s an intermittent issue, somewhat connected to opening and closing door and waking up the screen, or maybe not, haven’t gotten a trigger that works consistently yet. It’s not a safety issue according to the service advisor, but don’t know what other issues it might be aggravating or causing….

This isn’t letting my little 17sec iPhone video post here, how do I do this?

I have the exact same issue! Mine is from the driver side A-pillar speaker - 55.4dB crackle/popping sound like a metronome. It started this morning and won’t stop.

I tried resetting infotainment, removing factory USB, disconnecting all Bluetooth devices, and Power Off then waiting 10min. The sound always starts back up when the car is powered.

I took delivery of my Cyberbeast only two days ago. I have a service appointment for Sep. 4th. I’ll keep you posted!

YES! That's the sound! Thanks for posting that - for some reason I couldn't get my video clips to load. Since I originally posted this thread, the clicking has mysteriously stopped. Very rarely now, it will click maybe once and stop. But before that, it was just like yours, upon powering up, it sounded like a metronome. By any chance is it hot in your area? I thought maybe the cabin heat might have triggered it during some really hot 95-100 degree days we had a few weeks ago....also, I did have a software update right before it started and maybe that's what started it? I've had the truck since March 28, and this started a couple weeks ago. Other than that, there was nothing I did that helped to make it stop. We have a service appointment next Wed. on the 24th, but thinking we may cancel because they'll never be able to hear it or find it.

Exactly same issue with the rear right speaker, clicking sound is always there no matter driving or stopped, door shut or not. Had two services already, first time simply unplugged it to stop bothering and ordered a new speaker. Second time it's a mobile service and the technician installed it but still hearing it clicking.

Third service scheduled in two weeks, will see how it goes.

We had the same issue a couple months ago, was constant for a week or so, and then it started to happen once in a while, and now it doesn't happen at all. We had made a service appointment and cancelled it because the clicking had stopped completely and hasn't come back. They would never have been able to diagnose that since it's not happening anymore. Fingers crossed that it fixed itself...

Update: It's been over a month and one software update (2024.26.7) and the sound has never stopped. My service appointment is now only two weeks away.

A friend of mine with Tesla service said it sounds like the problem might be the amplifier, and they have seen similar in other models before. That would be consistent with iamnotedible's situation where replacing the speaker did not help.

Darn it, after months of the mysterious clicking sound being gone, it’s now back!! After seeing more people experiencing this, hopefully the SCs will have a better idea of what the issue is soon…..

Update:
Just had a scheduled service yesterday, I was told the <Rear Controller> was having problem and generating some sort of current. The replacement part has been ordered, so another two weeks of wait...
