Rattling issues are the worst because they refuse to truly do the work to fix them. They are like ambulance chasers if it’s not a clear closed case they won’t touch it. Very frustrating tbh. I’ve had to bring my model x back over 10 times and the rattle still isn’t fixed even when they can replicate it lol.
This isn't just a rattling issue. It's an air compressor issue making that noise.

To Tesla it’s a rattling noise.. and that’s what matters for fixing the problem. Until they get error codes etc.

Here's the video. Finally caught it making the noise. I'm pretty sure it's the air compressor. Service schedules for later this month.
Non owner here. Sounds to me like the compressor is rattling while in operation. Perhaps it could be a loose / faulty compressor mount?

Possibly. But until Tesla can replicate it on the service visit they won't fix it.

Just trying to avoid a complete failure or a roadside service visit. I sent them 5 videos of the noise. Just replace the Damm compressor. It's a new truck under warranty!

Its quite possible its not air compressor failure but a loose air compressor , lot of other places I saw nut bolt not torqued properly ... may be that is the case ... if they cannot replicate may be they tightened some nut bolt here there ...

I would say bring it back why to unnecessary let them dissect your truck ... your warranty is not going anywhere ... drive it and check it rather than leaving it there ... dont panic .. it does not mean that it failed for one and it will fail for all or others ....

let us know how it goes ...

I have an appointment for the same noise in Late June. First I could get in. When I changed my brake setting to brake when regenerative breaking reduced it helped for a while. My noice is worse with breaking, improves with acceleration. It is also worse when the car is first driven in the mornings. I have also thought it could be due to the air suspension Or a seatbelt. I would love to find the time to be in the bed of the truck and have someone else driving when the noise is happening. If I find out what it is I will let you know. Please do likewise. In the video I captured the noise it is at a higher frequency than normal. It usually has the slower frequency similar to yours. When I am moving forward usually under 40 mph and not braking it sounds almost identical to your audio. I was going to look for rocks in between the brake shields and rotors.

After much deliberation. Tesla service found a loose bushing on the air compressor. And rubbing on the compressor bracket. They will replace the compressor bracket and air compressor. They kept telling me there was no issue. So I have to bring it back in a few weeks because the parts have to be ordered.
