To those picking up in the next few days, a little information on the delivery process.

You will head to the Delivery desk and meet the Delivery Advisor who is going to handle you. They will have to check out all of your information, confirm driver's license, payment, insurance, etc. first.
They are usually quite busy and may be handling multiple customers at the same time, please be patient with them.

Once everything is good inside, they will wait for your truck to be pulled up and they'll then take you outside and look over the vehicle.
The truck will have been cleaned, but it probably won't have been detailed clean as you would see at a legacy dealer. That means it's still going to be dirty and have marks on it. But it was cleaner than it was in the holding lot.
This is your time to do your look over. If you see any issues, take pictures and note them. (the delivery advisor will probably be helping someone else as you do this). When the delivery advisor returns, tell them, they may make a note of it, but probably tell you to create a Service Request with everything in it. Odds are that they won't fix on the spot.
If you feel that something is too big and you have to reject the truck, now is the time to do so.
The Delivery Advisor will then help you setup your phone as a key and pair the keycards with the truck.
Congratulations!! You own the truck!!

At this point, take the time to sit down and familiarize yourself with the truck.
But hopefully before you left to the Delivery Center, you have watched all of the videos in the app. Including the "what to expect on delivery day" and "how to operate the Cybertruck".

Learn how to put the truck in forward and reverse. Know where the indications of what gear you are in and the gear slider is.
Learn where the turn signals are and how to engage them.
If rain is in the forecast, learn how to turn them on, with the wheel button and in the GUI.

Setup up the music ad leave it alone. Don't touch it on the drive home. Learn where the wheel volume is so that you can turn it up or down.
Set the A/C for a comfortable temperature.

and most importantly, don't forget to bring someone to take pictures of your grin when you see and get your truck!!

Congratulations!

Thanks for the heads up. It definitely helps to know what to expect on delivery day. I will be picking up my Cybertruck at the Duluth, GA location. Unsure if that is where you got your CT at?

In that case I can pretty well tell you exactly what they'll do.
Since that's where I picked mine up.
It's a new facility with a Delivery Center, Service Center and Store. The Delivery center is the desk on the left.
The parking lot is VERY small and the way the traffic flow is, is terrible. You'll notice the new garage going in in the back, to hopefully remediate a lot of this.

You'll be passing me. I'm up in Gainesville about 20 miles north of I-85. If there is anything that I cna help with, just let me know. Possibly even meet up.

A little story about the Duluth Facility. It's out in what used to be a clothing store on the outskirts of Gwinnett Place Mall (oh, there's a large MicroCenter with 0.2 mi if computers excite you, used to be a Fryes as well ;-( )
Gwinnett Place Mall was once a pretty nice place, but like many Simon properties, it has seen its better days. Rignt how it is mostly unused.

But over on the North side of the mall is an entrance that was the entrance to the new food court. I don't remember if the name is on it, but it looks something like this.

If you happened to watch Stranger Things, you may remember the StarCourt Mall in the second or third season. It looked like this in one of the outside shots

And this is an inside shot.

Well, it is the same place. Gwinnett Place Mall is where they filmed a season of Stranger Things. The Starcourt was the entrance to the Upside Down World!

If you drive around the mall today and find the entrance, you may notice something familiar parked out in front of that entrance. It's the Delivery Center's holding lot today and probably full of Teslas.

My Cybertruck got caught in the accelerator pedal and stayed out there for a few weeks.
we went to keep it happy periodically.

That's say my Cybertruck was stuck in the Upside Down world before delivery and the most appropriate name for the truck we could think of was Eleven, an homage to the holding lot in the Upsdie Down world!

And yes, I've visited and ate at the StarCourt Food Court hundreds of times. It looked really close to Stranger Things.

When the first episode came on with the StarCourt, I knew exactly what and where it was!

Very freakin cool! Thank you for the in-depth response. I am a huge fan of Stranger Things and definitely think I will stop at the mall's food court and have a bite, just to say I have.

How's the Tesla staff at this location? Are they friendly? Any issues dealing with the service staff for maintenance issues? I am hoping that all the big issues we have been talking about in this forum have been remedied in my Cybertruck.

I'm in Oregon but was in NorCal when I started my configuration.

When I configured my CT, white was the only option. I didn't know I had the option to change, so I waited to fill out all my new vehicle paperwork. Yesterday, Tesla tried to get me to come pick up my CT, but it didn't say where. I haven't finished anything, let alone filed for financing.

I have a white Model X on loan while Tesla fixes my red MX. The white dash reflection is annoying, so I've requested the gray interior. Tesla agrees to swap it but says I'll probably lose my Foundation Series. Do you think there is any truth to this, or is this just pressure tactics?

Configured my AWD Grey on 6/16/24, got the vin today 7/13/24. Waiting on my other tasks to open up in the app.

I know this question has probably been asked a billion times here, but how long from the point when the vin is assigned till I should expect to take delivery?
