Just curious if anyone has had a similar problem. after 4 days and 166 miles, my Cybertruck stopped accepting a charge. So I parked it for July 4, and took it to the shop on July 5. The repair shop guys are super friendly, however now I am waiting for a part 'on order', the Power Converter unit (or something like that). Anyone have a similar issue? Anyone have any experience how long ordering parts takes? Just frustrating that the truck has been bricked for longer than I was able to drive it already.

Ugh, early adopter issues.. I sure hope I don’t face something similar in a week or so. That sucks. Teslas are amazing

My CT has 621 miles and I had it for 1 week. Been at the shop for 4 days and still waiting for front drive inverter.

do they give you a loaner?
Yes, I am not sure if this is the case for everyone, but my local service shop has been able to give me a loaner every time I have brought a car in. This is my third Tesla.

Why do you call this issue an "early adopter issue"?

I figure there have been enough instances where cybertruck owners have had their trucks less than 500 miles where they break down enough to need a new part (seems pretty fast for a broken part wouldn’t you say)? I mean, does 0.5-1% of every Y break down? This seems like they are early growth pains of brand new tech. Even if 50-100 out of 20k have had issues, wouldn’t you agree as a Tesla person that there is early adopter issues? I mean, it’s not like 30-40k model Y are have to go to service in the first month due to a broken part…. I don’t get why it’s controversial to say there is early adopter gamble to have a near perfect truck that is brand new in almost all manufacturing/tech in a truck?
And for me to say I hope I am not one of them… even if a small percentage…

How many of those instances have you read about?

A single report normally get's amplified, like this one, by all the Tesla Service sucks fans.

And take a look at all the single post members, they are normal a Tesla sucks post and run.
How many "I Love my Cybertruck post and run posts are there?

And only 1 post has been to answer the poster.

I’ve seen the power converter on Munro live and it’s some piece of hardware. It looks well built but if things are going to fail they fail fast and that’s what you want. We know the failure rate is at least 1 in -20000 now.

I wasn’t at all saying Tesla Service sucks. Look at the ā€œissues, warrantiesā€¦ā€ section of this site… some HVAC quitting, a few red screens of death… ya maybe only 50-100people have had issues with their trucks, but to say there haven’t been some issues that shouldn’t be happening on brand new cars is a bit ā€œbury head in the sandā€ thinking no?
maybe I am an idiot. Maybe 100 out of every 20k brand new F-150s full on have issues in the first week or two where they have to take it back to the shop…. I in all honestly don’t know. But Teslas in first year builds of existence have more issues than year 3 as they have had the ability to iron out any issues. would you not agree? I am hoping by 20k, they are figuring out all these issues as I am getting mine next week. I fully expect it to be amazing, there are a few out there that aren’t having that experience. It is the new tech curve, and that’s fine..

and this isn’t model 3 growing pains… these are a very tiny percentage of trucks that are having issues. Which is understandable given all the new stuff to it. That’s all I was saying.. that I hope I am not in the tiny minority ??

1. I do love my Cyberbeast. It WAS amazing while it worked. Then, after less than a week it died and threw a bunch of codes including rear wheel steering issues. Wish this wasn't true but.....Tesla service does suck, and customer service also. I have never experienced a business so disinterested in the plight of its customer base. Trying to get a hold of service and get any updates is a effort in futility. Forget about going online and trying to get in touch with anyone. The selection queues rarely take you to the problem you are experiencing and the nonsense about "contact us by clicking here" is a complete joke. Doesn't connect you to anyone, just more articles that don't apply to the experienced situation. Why do you think Tesla is so lowly rated in customer satisfaction and JD Power surveys. Perhaps your mileage will vary, but for me, the truck can be great but he management and whole operation really sucks. Please let me know where you thing I got it wrong. Thanks.
