So my beautiful CT get towed to the service center this morning. When driving around town yesterday (after receiving the truck last Saturday, with only 1 home charge to 80%), it keeps beeping about the battery has reached max limits and it won't be able to charge -- this is happening while driving. Park the car and screen went black. Reset the screen, everything came back on. Checking service and it shows Hvbatt_a223 error, but OK to drive. We drove straight home and try to plug in, it started charging for 5 minutes and stop charging, Hvbatt_a260 error. Call Tesla emergency service, and got it towed. Irvine center won't accept it (due to too busy), Costa Mesa can't accept it because it does not have the right lift, another one in Tesla Service Costa Mesa North finally accepted it. Waiting for Service center to come back with a diagnosis.

Update 3.36.24 -- Diagnosis -- High voltage battery needs to be replaced. Parts ordered, we are now waiting for ETA (of parts arrival). :(

Hopefully the problem is limited to a faulty harness or loose connector. Replacing the HV pack is a significant chore. The service manual rates the job at just over 3 hours, but it has 300 individual steps!

I get the Hvbatt_a223 error but haven't had a problem charging. Seems like it happens when I wake up the CT from sleep and it's plugged into the wall charger.

I got Hvbatt_a233 while driving and in regen (I think) - while slowing down - it said charge reach max can’t no longer charge. Tesla SC confirmed is high voltage battery issue, they are ordering part.

That is sad, upsetting, and I am sure very frustrating, but at least they decided what the problem is. Considering how often this is happening Tesla really has a problem to solve, and I am sure that we all hope that they solve it soon.

Wouldn't that be a SW issue, or does something weird happen when waking the CT? Maybe turn off any service that wakes up the CT while on charger? Is that even possible?

New product for Tesla, but seems like a higher rate of failure for major parts than previous vehicles. Not that many delivered but a large number of people with vehicle debilitating problems.

Watching the Munro Battery removal it seems like the first couple of steps are the most difficult and then (at least in their evaluation) it is very straight forward. 3 hours is not a terribly big job in auto mechanics.

I do think it’s a SW issue.

Removing the pack assembly is one thing, but replacing the pack means that everything attached to it (seats, carpets, trim, the throttle pedal, etc.) must also be R&R.
