If you're talking about the charging pad, it gets my phone really hot and barely charges

I opened a ticket with them but they want me to bring it in. Due to my distance, it won’t be any time soon. If I had to guess, it’s probably a hardware issue because I seriously doubt their software controls induction hertz or pattern. But you never know…maybe it does.

I had a thread asking if anyone opened a ticket on that or got some statement from Tesla. Nobody responded. I was kind of surprised that this hasn’t been dealt with.

It should be working.
I know that this may a dumb question, but it isn't a given. Does your phone support wireless charging?
Where are you placing your phone?

I took my Cybertruck in for service last month for a few small items. One of the items was that the charging pad wasn't charging, but would make the phone very hot. They claimed two different techs were able to charge their phones on it and it was fine. In retrospect, I think the techs just tossed their phones onto the pad and saw their charging icons light up and assumed all was ok at that point.

I then read a post on this forum about the placement of the phone within the charging pad. So I started experimenting with the exact placement (left to right) on the pad. I found with my iPhone, that if it was mostly centered, I could get it to charge without heating up. I'm still playing around with it because from time to time it still seems to heat up.

With my wife's 2023 Model Y, I just plop my iPhone (same phone) haphazardly onto the pad and it charges 100% of the time. For that reason alone, I believe the trucks charging pad or the software controlling it, has problems.

yes, it supports wireless charging works fine on MS.
I tried to the right and left on both sides. I saw a post to try in the center. Will try this.
Software is 26.3.1

If you are used to charging in Model S, then it's probably time for a Service Request.
It's not the center, but the center of each side.

Same here. I'm not sure if it was an update or my new case (no magnet ring on the new one) but it no longer get crazy hot (normal amount of warm) and charges normally for a wireless charger.

I noticed it working after an update but I didn't notice immediately since I didn't depend the wireless charger. I was using a cable and would still leave my phone there for convenience and then noticed it was charging.
