I chose CT over CB. I’m not usually the person to buy the top of the line. My Mercedes are never AMG my Full size Range Rovers are 6 cylinder, I’m just not that guy.

BUT… here is where paying extra for the CB would have made dollars for me:
- $4k towards PowerShare installation
- Light bar which I know I will buy
- Free Supercharging because my provider isn’t setup for PowerShare yet
- Dash upgrade, which I will likely have done. My CT isn’t a work truck and the dash definitely feels like a work truck.
- Last but not least PLEASURE of seeing people’s face when they first take a ride, that my CT just can’t provide. ?

So the 20k extra really isn’t “20k”

FWIW, Beast no longer comes with $4k of installation credit

- got the $4k credit.

my husband was on the fence about the beast so we did some Tesla battery research. The extras you get along with the out of this world speed on what is hopefully the last truck we will ever buy made it an easy decision.

I thought the Foundation CB came with the $4k install credit. Non Foundations ones will not

I have the credit on mine, but are people getting a foundation Beast without the credit now?

The $4k credit ended sometime at the end of May.

When I was in my 20s I remember telling myself anyone who pays over $30,000 for a car is stupid. Vehicle is only meant to get you from point A to point B.

I just spent 4x that. Obviously my life and myself have changed a lot since then, and I don't think the Cyberbeast is worth 120K, BUT... damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

Well that sucks considering they did not drop the $20k uplift cost for the Foundation.
Yeah, I feel really bad for people who missed the credit.

I feel like the choice between the Cyberbeast and the AWD will be easier to make once the Foundation Series ends. In theory, all AWD FS owners have paid the same price as a regular CB without the extra performance.

I just couldn't justify it. And I'm one who usually can't resist top of the line. For my situation it really would have just been for the extra launch speed and the AWD already smokes almost everyone and impresses everyone I give rides to.

I'll get a cheaper and better light bar aftermarket soon enough :)

Rationalize all you want.

$4k as others have mentioned is gone, so is Powershare from the last offer that I saw.
A few months of Free Supercharging isn't really that much, and I don't know if it is available either.

Light bar may be a legality problem for CA.

Dash upgrade, if that floats your boat.

As to "Last but not least PLEASURE of seeing people’s face when they first take a ride, that my CT just can’t provide" I'm lost, do you have a AWD and are dreaming about a Beast?
But in any case, I see lots of pleasure in people faces when taking them in the Cybertruck. And that's often before I start moving.
In an AWD, if I floor it, a lot of people become unhappy, too much speed.

I'll add my 2 cents:
  1. AWD has mechanical lockers on both axles
  2. I have a Plaid X. CB is a different machine and I don't see how I'll ever use the power. On X, it's a different story because that thing flies and you have so much control (and much higher top speed)
  3. On above, I paid 8500 for plaid over regular. Few weeks prior to my date, many paid just 3.5k over. 20k is too much. If it was closer to 10 I'd understand
  4. I'm not aware of anyone getting free supercharging on beast. Correct me if wrong
  5. Similar to my S, prior X, prior 3P, I expect Tesla to provide a bit more from the motors on the AWD in due time

All of these reasons and more:
- FS CB is already a collector's legend
- EU auctions are pricing FS CBs at hypercar levels
- Once FS ends, FS CB value will skyrocket because it will be the rarest Cybertruck
- You only "think" you don't need the CB speed... until you have it
- You definitely need the CB torque for overland (that video of a CB crawling up a boulder at like 5 mph) and towing
- Swagger, being the big dog, standing a little taller
- Inspiring all sorts of emotions which secretly mask respect (even my wife is now anxious to get it)
