Is there a 2024.10.10? After some comments about software branches being different, and FSD potentially coming on 2024.10.10, I’m a little nervous to install 2024.26.6.
It just popped up as a software update. I’m currently on 2024.10.9.

Any thoughts? If there are two branches, why am I being switched to this branch unless they’re merging?

note: This is our first Tesla, so looking for feedback to those who have possibly been through this before.

So originally this was an issue, but people are guessing (again guessing) that it won't be an issue due to more full release.

BTW when did you get the truck? 2024.10.x was a while ago if I recall.

Im on 2024.26.3.1 at the moment, and haven't had any wild # shifts that I've noticed.

I think you are being overly cautious about OTA. I look forward to any software update because it hopefully makes my Tesla "better". Besides, you don't really have a choice, the next OTA update is the best OTA update.

Well, if you had any previous Tesla's. That wasn't always the case. If you updated top far before getting on fsd. You would actually be unable to get fsd or downgrade to get fsd.

That’s why I started the update anyway. My feeling is similar to yours.

It looks like the FSD 12.5.1.3 is on the 2024.26.10 branch for vehicles other than the CT. Nothing showing up for 12.5.x.x for CT yet.

However, with FSD being on the 2024.26.x.x branch it is _likely_ that FSD for CT will be on that branch or a later one.

I'm currently on 2024.26.6 and normally update as soon as it is available -- never had any regrets with that on my Model 3 and don't expect it to be an issue w/ the CT.

When did you get your truck? Has it always been on the 2024.26.x path? Mine was on 2024.10.9 prior to this update.

I have FSD on my 2018 M3 and didn't have this problem that I know of. But again, so what does it matter if I have to get a different OTA before getting FSD OTA? I would not spend two seconds worrying about an OTA update problem somehow blocking FSD. In addition, I don't expect FSD anytime soon. Hope it comes tomorrow but won't be surprised if it doesn't come until next year.

Given that latest at the time of this writing is 2024.26.10 (12.5.1.3) I am good with updating to 2024.26.6 which I just did. Ie not jumping ahead of FSD branch which can theoretically delay you.

May 5th, and I recall being on it at one point in time but not 100% tbh
