I'm getting my CT serviced this morning due to a small mistake by the wrap company I used (nbd, its the rubber seal under the driver side top panel in front, got pinched and warped when they put the part back on, they're flipping the bill), and I asked service how many CTs were getting delivered. The guy said about 4 a day at this location and that the goal was to work through FS this quarter. (Tesla service is 5 star excellent btw)
Seems like a good idea to start Q4 with no FS if they want to crank out as many trucks as possible this year. I know there's loads of people waiting for that switch to flip. And with CT test driving opening up and removal of reservation fee and FSD imminent... I feel like we're seeing FS ending by October. Oh, and new model year cars typically reveal in the fall, so maybe all 2024 Cybertrucks are FS and for 2025 starting in October all FS will be done... I bet they'll start doing "Sept is the last chance for FS" or some similar language to forecast it in the last 2 weeks of Sept. Is this a sound theory?
Nobody asked, but here's some extra random thoughts: in the showroom, I sat in the S, 3, Y, then the CT again. CT was the most comfortable, just excellent. I loved my 2022 model 3, but have no regrets trading it in for the CT. Regardless, that 2024 model 3 is awesome. I'd consider it as a replacement for our RX 350, but I fear we wouldn't drive it just like how we don't drive the RX anymore. The CT is too frigging fun. I like the height on the Y, I get why it's so popular. Still not a fan of the look, but I'm super curious what they do as a refresh. Oh, also, no X on the floor here. Maybe phasing out?
