CyberBeast Residuals Below MSRP

Looks like CyberBeast can be had used for less than MSRP, the hit will be considerable as soon as FS ends. I don’t buy to flip but cars are a hobby (owned 110+) so I do take residual value seriously. With the end of FS coming up I would suspect used values of lightly used Beasts to be below $100k possibly closer to $90k. I paid my $1,000 in March but I will definitely be putting it on hold when my vin is allocated. Just my Sunday 2 cents.

If you don’t drive it, the first iPhone is worth 10s of $1000s if it’s in the package, opened mine isn’t worth but a couple hundred bucks.

This is for sale 3 miles from my house, I’ve bought from them before and know the manager well. They typically have a few interesting vehicles e.g. AMG G Wagon, Shelby GT 500, Rivian R1 S Launch edition. They would be under $120k with minimal negotiation.

Picking up my new cyberbeast on Tuesday!

I’m not concerned about the depreciation nor would the vast majority of foundation series CB owners.

of course, I totally respect those willing to wait longer for prices to come down.

Anyone who thought buying a FS CT was going to be a good longterm investment, resale value wise, wasn't really thinking very smart. Teslas need to be thought of as more a tech product than a legacy automobile. Maybe in 30 years a CT FS with >500 miles and in perfect condition my be with something significant to a collector but I wouldn't count on even that.

I know I could sell it for more now, and probably for a good while, but for personal financials I value my AWD at 50K.

Someone above mentiond they're now holding until non FS starts to pull trigger. If I didn't already have mine, at this time I'd definately be doing the same. That said, no regrets on pulling the trigger myself 3 months ago.

The only difference from the FS and non FS is technically the laser etching and perhaps lifetime connectivity (though that may not transfer). All other items are just add ins that are available without the FS edition. No surprise here that it will drop in value once non-FS sales begin.
