Just got the @CYBERTRUCKco (@Roger@CYBERTRUCKco) lift rod kit in yesterday and installed them. Took me about 20 minutes. Glad to have a little higher stance in entry and low. It’s only an inch, but to me makes a nice difference. Definitely looks super high w 2” extra in high mode. Love it!

Any instructions on installation? How hard is it to do?

How is highway driving, and comfort level?

I am not noticing any major differences. Just in town driving so far. Haven’t hit the high ways. I usually cruise in comfort, feels the same to me. I’ll definitely ride in low for high way.

I purchased this kit too but am slightly worried on reliability. The OEM factory suspension maxes out the air suspension in extract mode. What happens with this kit and maxing out the suspension? I’ve already blown one air suspension module so I’m curious how this kit performs.

Didn't blow on ours during many offroad trips that should have been beyond the Cyber capabilities

Has there been any testing on the increased stress on the CV joints on highest setting? Is it okay now but will increase chance of failure in the future? I want this kit to work but the simplicity gives me questions. I understand Land Rover air suspension was referenced to work the same, however, they don’t max out the air shocks stock so there’s wiggle room there. Cybertruck maxes out already stock so curious how adding more air to an already maxed out shock affects everything else.

I expect that I won’t use extract mode with these considering the 2” higher ride height in high. It would have to be an absolute necessity to try extract if I were in fact required by circumstance. Glad to hear the manufacturer hasn’t had any problems.

I don’t think this would put any stress on the air suspension in extract mode. Because there’s not extra movement there. It’s only riding higher in the lower lower and mid settings during driving. Not actually “lifting” more, but adjusting the ride heights. If that makes sense
My understanding is this just relocate the sensors

So awesome!

Got mine today and booked an appointment to have the install done. I don’t have a jack nor the equipment to get the lug nuts back on at the proper torque so I’ll get some help. :)

I agree that one inch in medium isn’t much, but I think it’s noticeable from your pics and if I had the option I’d drive in High all the time so this gets me closer!

Yes relocated sensors to trick the system to put more air in the shocks. My question is, when the suspension is already maxed out on a stock setup, what happens when you take it past max?

LR does max out air shocks on extract mode as well.

We do not expect any issues with CV joints riding around 1" taller than stock for 99% of daily driving.

Offroading in high mode, or extract will hurt your truck if you try hard enough!

There is a mechanical limit it can not exceed.

Just want to update this thread to mention I had my install done (as noted above, I had no equipment to do this myself) and LOVE the result. Drive on both local and freeway roads seems unchanged. Shop even checked alignment before and after to confirm no issues - all was well.

Highly recommend this product if you want a slightly higher ride height in your Cybertruck across all the suspension settings. Well worth it @CYBERTRUCKco !!!

Up above, I was one of the guys saying how much I loved the Lift Rod KIt. Well, I’m amending my post and I wonder if anyone else has an issue.

Yesterday my back end collapsed like there was an air tank issue. Took it to Tesla and the tech said the aftermarket piece I’d installed didn’t “sit” properly and became dislodged. He put it back on, took it for a test drive, and it popped right off again.

So it appears at least on mine that as the piece wears - because it doesn’t have “pop on cap” like the original Tesla piece - it will eventually wear enough and come loose.

Curious if anyone else has a similar issue? I wonder for those of you that have installed them if you want to crawl under your back tire and take a look if yours looks like mine and is close to popping out?

I’m not mechanically smart enough to know if this is a design issue or just something unique to my CT but I’m sharing here in case it helps others. It would be most interesting if another owner who installed the pars would look and see if there lift rod is about to slip off just like mine. Thanks!
