so on the road with no charger in site and off grid camping when I need to charge I used a 14k generator all went well.

when I went camping last weekend using my smaller 2k Honda the mobile charger gave me an error, insufficient ground. Checked grounds and were good. Found out you need to connect neutral to ground as well to work. Did it and operates just fine.

Also Charging with gasoline generator is cheaper than PGE at home and at Superchargers. yes, faster but The System sucks and it shows.

Agree. I had to pay $17k for a single buried wire between a transformer and the house i am about to sell. IMHO that utility needa to be broken up into several companies with competent & legitimate leadership but that’s a whole other bag of worms.

Thanks for the chuckle.

Cheers

ahhh see I knew what kind of a person you are.......a bloke. See my generator is very old and the first attempt on trying to use it the error came up.... if you would have read my post the other generator worked as it has a bonded ground/neutral and being an Engineer and Electrician I spotted the problem immediately and fixed it. All my post was and is, is to help others. So go on being you and bugger off.

This fella thinks he is smart. Something like he is a CEO or something. This isn't the first rodeo around these parts for him. Good old ? kick is what he offers.

Now he is an Electrician. ?.

Probably thinks this is what NEC is.
