There are plenty of people that put a $1,000 deposit thinking they would get a non-FS Cybertruck.
Tesla Cybertruck TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition come-on-man-will-smith-1n87hy9hebv4i506

Uhhmm... I thought it was/is pretty clear that the $1,000 deposit is for a FS Cybertruck. How can it be more clear?!?! I mean, you configure the FS truck prior to paying the $1K. The config tool is extremely clear on what you are ordering.

The title might be unclear. Tesla WILL cancel your order if you do not take delivery
That is not Tesla canceling the order, that is the customer canceling the order by not paying for the vehicle that they signed a contract to purchase.

There are many documented cases of Tesla allowing people to switch from FS to non-FS after the $1k deposit. This is a choice of Tesla weather or not to provide good will to its customers. Yes Tesla is within its rights to keep the $1k and cancel the orders... but is that the right thing to do? I already have my CT, but its clear to me what the right thing to do here is.

I will sign the petition.

This one time I ordered and paid for a cheeseburger and decided I wanted a hamburger instead. They wouldn’t refund me for the cheese. How dare they.
“I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a cheeseburger today” perhaps beyond others timeline, just 1st thought came to mind ha ha.

Take responsibility and live up to your obligations. You entered into an agreement - Tesla has lived up to their side of the bargain, live up to yours or lose your "earnest" money.

lol, ok grammar day… many people use speech to text and it comes across as mistyped or misspelled words, however I have an issue with many X posts online for example that people straight up use Than in place of Then or the reverse.

It’s rather Than or if Then people! lol

What a stupid and misleading title. Mods, plz fix.
That's probably the purpose of starting this thread. To create the impression that Tesla is the party in the wrong, not the people who don't want to follow through with what they agreed to.

The thread title needs to be fixed. Tesla WANTS to sell Foundation Cybertrucks, any cancellation of order agreements would simply be because the customer is refusing to honor the order they placed.

OP has a youtube vid with the same title. It's BS click-bait done in poor taste.

ALSO, OP has released THIRTY-ONE of these low-quality and low-effort videos in the last SEVEN DAYS. God I hate social media.
What is wrong with Dennis? He seems to pull a lot of anti-Tesla BS like this.

I quit paying attention to him months ago.

SIGN THE PETITION https://chng.it/74JWJbTxJz

Tesla is cancelling Foundation Series Cybertruck orders, and forcing people who ordered an FS Cybertruck to take delivery or lose their $1,000 deposit.

In November 2023, Tesla starting taking $1,000 deposits for a Foundation Series Cybertruck.
There are plenty of people that put a $1,000 deposit thinking they would get a non-FS Cybertruck.

Our petition is for TESLA to:

#1 Allow those people, who put a $1,000 deposit, to get put in the line to get a non-FS Cybertruck.
#2 OR convert to another Tesla Model delivery
#3 OR convert to Tesla Cash.
Stop b*tching. You signed a deal. Either walk away from your $1k to wait on the 'broke d*ck trim', or pay for your FS order.
Yup. Well said.

Are we sure this petition is legit? Many of these are email harvesting ops. I'm sure someone would love to have a good email list of Tesla owners.

Did a lot of people put $1000 down knowing they were going to defer delivery until foundation series ended in a way to skip the line when they (likely) go back to the beginning of the reservation list for non-FS?

Or did that many people have material life events that prevent them financially or otherwise from taking delivery of the truck they had just ordered?
Just consider the $1000 a VERY cheap restocking fee.

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding where the click bait is.

They are giving customers an ultimatum buy or cancel. And you don't get your 1000 refund.

It's literally what the title says but longer.
