Service has been horrible for me too. Over a month in service to replace HVAC that was delivered nonfunctional just to get it back and they’ve curbed a wheel and the truck was misaligned. Took it to a different service center to repair the alignment and they had it for 2 weeks just to give it back and it’s still misaligned. Will be filing a lemon law claim soon and getting anything other than a Tesla. Seeing the brand becoming worse and worse over the last couple years makes it impossible to own another one.
Drama drama..... good luck with anything built by anyone.

Considering this is my 4th tesla and 3rd lemon I think I could buy just about anything and be better off ?. First one was Model Y and was perfect. Then Plaid S ? then Plaid X ?, now Cybertruck ?. QC at Tesla doesn’t exist anymore.

My m3p took like 2 months to repair back when I got tboned. Rating a "don't buy" because of slow repair is petty. Sorry. If you wanted an easy and quick to repair car, you shouldn't have gone with a Cybertruck or an ev to begin with. It's basic ownership 101 knowing it takes forever (and crazy $) to repair these cars ?

7 posts on this forum, and most of them are about your lemons.

Slower parts and repair should be expected as an early adopter. Until parts are flowing and service centers have some experience, only I will drive my Cybertruck. (Sorry someone hit you, and your waiting. I would miss my CT sooo badly)

My experience has been significantly different than yours:

2020 Model Y: One of the first ones on the road. Flawless for four years. My wife is currently in the process of turning that into a Model X to take advantage of the free transfer of FSD.

2021 Model 3 Performance: I’m pretty sure I had the first one of this refresh on the road in my state. ZERO PROBLEMS. Until I sold it last year for my MSP taking advantage of the first FSD transfer offer.

2023 Model S Plaid: the most amazing car I’ve ever owned! One slight frunk alignment issue on delivery. Subsequent latching issue. I will have had the car one year tomorrow (I only know because I have to start paying for premium connectivity). All I can say is what I’ve already said this is the greatest car I’ve ever owned in my life! Bar none. Panel gap and latch issue? Superior in every way to the issues that I’ve had with my 2021 C8 Corvette (alignment issues are ridiculous and my hardtop convertible mechanism broke in under a year).

2024 CyberBeast: Some scratches that I didn’t like in the stainless steel panels upon delivery and some ripples in the panels that, unfortunately, I think are within spec and just part of the realities of cold rolled steel I haven’t seen any that don’t have it. other than that I have had zero problems with this car in the two months that I’ve had it.

I’m not sure why your luck has been so bad amigo but my experience over four Tesla has been simply great. I can extend that out because because of me my father has a ‘20 (and is currently in the process of upgrading to a model S to take advantage of transfer of FSD), my sister has a ‘23 MYLR, my daughter has a ‘19 M3P - none of them have had any notable problems of any sort with their vehicles. None.

Expanding the circle out, my partner and several of my employees in my law firm own Tesla’s following my lead and I’ve never heard a single one complain about any defects with their vehicles. ??‍♂

I understand that anecdotes aren’t statistics, but it just seems to me that your experience is improbable and out of the norm. I hope you’re luck improves or you find a manufacturer that’s more to your liking.

Misalignment makes it a lemon ?

Tesla !
My Cybertruck that’s been in service since July 19th after being rear-ended. As a loyal Tesla customer who’s supported the brand for years and even paid extra for the foundation, I’m feeling pretty let down by how things have gone so far.

It took 3 weeks just to get an estimate, and now I’m being told it’ll take another 3 weeks to assemble after the parts finally arrived. I get there are challenges, but that kind of timeline isn’t acceptable, especially for someone who’s stuck by Tesla from the start.

I’ve shown my support for Tesla, and I really hope Tesla can show a bit more appreciation by speeding things up and keeping me in the loop. Can you please give me an update and let me know how this can be resolved faster?
is your vehicle drivable? you say the rear bumper needs replacing... I would be driving this and have them call when parts are in stock and ready to repair. that is what I did when someone backed into my model 3 driver side door. I drove around for several weeks with a big dent.

Been driving Tesla since 2012; S, CT and Y. Never had any service issues; CT has been flawless and a delight to drive, Model Y, bought in June similarly flawless.

Attitude is everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s what is delaying your vehicle. How you state things to anyone can dictate their reaction.

If it’s truely just a bumper, why not order one and get it installed. Just go in service app and state you need a new bumper, they order the bumper which should only take a couple weeks, then when it arrives you drop truck off for a day for them to replace it.

If I had to guess, you added way too much info in your service then it needed to happen.

I had to ask ChatGPT what the odds of this would be:

“The probability of buying 4 new cars in the past 5 years and 3 of them being lemons, given a 1% chance of any new car being a lemon, is approximately **0.000396%** (or about 3.96 in 1,000,000). This is an extremely rare event.”

Seems pretty unreasonable.

How is this unique to Tesla? I knew someone who got a Rav4 years ago, he waited nearly a year for parts while driving a rental.

And this isn't even unique to cars. I worked at airports and on new model aircrafts, parts can be a nightmare if something gets damaged.

I cracked my phone screen a week after buying it a few years ago and when I made a claim since I had screen coverage, they replaced the phone because there was no screens or estimates for another. Obviously that's not happening for a truck in high demand, but it terms of parts availability, it's similar.

This is literally just the reality of things. People can't just assume that their repairs should get priority over building more vehicles.

You got your truck, something happened, it sucks, but that doesn't automatically mean the next parts off the line go to your repair. They have a system in place and I would be shocked if their priority isn't pushing out more Cybertrucks.
