Afternoon.
My CT that I took delivery in May has an issue with the driver’s seat shifting to the left when I make a right turn and to the right when I make a left turn. It is extremely annoying. A Tesla tech confirmed the issue during a road test on my 1st service appointment for this issue. They said it would need a part or a new seat. They had to wait for corporate to make that determination. They scheduled a 2nd service appointment for this issue, only to reschedule as the “part” had not been delivered. They scheduled a 3rd service appointment and subsequently now said that the seat is operating normally. In all my 45+ years of driving many makes and models I have never had this issue.
So my question to the group is, is anyone else having this same issue on their CT??
Saw a Reddit post of this exact same issue on Model Y’s.
A $100k vehicle should NOT have an issue like this. Or any vehicle.

I have same issue, they ordered new seat and currently waiting for service appointment.

I have this as well. It’s slight and doesn’t happen every time, but id say 60% of the time.. haven’t mentioned it to SC yet…

Hope they actually resolve this issue for you. They kinda implied they would for me, then changed their mind. I’m still going to fight for this. Not giving up.

Yes, same here. It’s a slight shift and mainly occurs on a strong turn. But it is so annoying every time I feel it shift and click.

I have the same issue. Not frequent but annoying. Servicw center checked it out and said it was fine…no issue identified
What i find weird about this truck and the service centers, people post about having the same issues but report getting many different issues from service centers , some say you need a whole new seat, others say sorry cant replicate or “within spec” or “no issue identified”

same issue here, sometimes it shifts more than other times, I will have to take note if it is more on a left or right turn

I have this issue and it’s on the list for them to look at during a service appointment tomorrow. I anticipate that they will say it’s ok and there’s nothing to do. Which, as long as it’s not a safety issue, it doesn’t bother me that much in the grand scheme of things.

I wish Tesla would offer the new performance seats from the other vehicles on the CT/CB as an upgrade option for those who want more lateral motion support while cornering. They would likely profit from the upgrade and interested buyers would have a vehicle more to their liking and tailored to their driving style. They are already making them, so why aren’t they a CT/CB option?

Dumb business decision not to offer a part you already manufacture that is value added for both the company and the client if you ask me.

Had the exact same issue. They tested it and said they would have to replace the seat, scheduled a 2nd service appointment just to replace the seat. 2nd appointment comes and they did not replace the seat but they were able to recreate the issue and did torque the bolts etc. that connect the seat and this did resolve the issue for me.

I also took delivery in May. Had this issue for the first 2-3 months, it just stopped happening without me doing anything. VIN 7xxx

8/2024 build, Beast in white. Only have 150 miles on it have Not experienced this issue as of yet. Finger crossed. ?

Thanks for all the replies and feedback.
I wonder since this seems to be happening to many CT owners, that Tesla considers this “normal”. The number of occurrences of an issue does not normalize it. It still makes it an issue. Guess I’m going to have to have a respectful but strong conversation with the service center manage.
