I got the same issue. I brought it up when I do the recall service with very little hope they can resolve it, but SC told me they need to replace the seat frame and they ordered one for me. I doubt it is the cause of the issue but let’s see after my next appointment in December. .

It started last month and have been progressively getting worse. I’ve tightened the seat’s bolts to the mounting bracket with no help. My assumption is it’s the seat pad that is moving instead of the entire seat, and I need to lose weight. ?

Have you all had this issue?
Yep!

I have this problem with the driver’s seat only. It’s been present since I first got the AWD and seems to be getting worse.

Is there any follow-up from the reports here? Has anyone had this successfully fixed? Did it require a whole new seat?
took mine in for it's first service center visit - re drivers seat...they said they're ordering parts and will replace both front seats - so appears to be a known design issue and fixable.

Just a brief update on this. They ordered a new driver’s seat for me. It was replaced yesterday and now everything is fine.

They did the same for me. It briefly stopped moving but came back a month later. I scheduled another appointment with the service center for a second look.

Well that sucks. They changed the whole seat on mine, but I guess the bars they are attached to underneath are the same.

After watching Sandy Munro’s video taking apart the seats, I have to say the CT seats are ridiculously complex and very un-Tesla like. Tesla has a philosophy of minimalism and less parts, but whoever designed the seats went the complete opposite direction.

Yes. Some have gotten as bad as to damage the seat cover. I felt the shift during 90 degree turns, mostly to the right, the seat would shift left.

Problem is, if you cant replicate it for service they will say “can not replicate” and close the ticket. “The best service is no service”. Aka the CHEAPEST service is to do no work on the truck. Doesnt mean your problem isnt there, it just couldnt be verified. the “burden of proof” is on the customer after delivery.
