Pro Tip:
you can customize the buttons on the bottom of the screen, press and hold, drag the camera button down. This locks in your favorite choices vs recently used.

after you press this camera button, you can see the front view camera, prolly not what you want. Simply swipe the truck up and it switches to a full size rear view along with both left & right rear views, and it stays up until you reverse and exit back to drive / park.
I just push the camera button on the steering wheel.

the rear view camera view is much bigger when you drag it to the top of the screen. That left side view is worthless.
I tried that but since its further away from the driver's point of view the size isnt any larger but now you have to turn your head more to see it.

And the picture is too dark. It's clear from recent changes (such as haptic buttons ) whoever is working on driver UI and ergos is not a driver and rather just has a desk job. Real drivers need a real rearview.

Someone mentioned Tesla reads these forums. If you're from Tesla and see this please do a software update to make the rearview much bigger and brighter.
FWIW. I read through this thread and then spent some time in my CT playing with rear view, etc. I didn’t find a fix for the feature I would like.
When needing a larger picture is mentioned, I wonder whether they mean size of the window that is displayed or size oF objects shown in the window. The problem I have with the on screen rear view is that it doesn’t match that seen in the driver side mirror. That mirror gives me a realistic representation of what is behind. If I look in the passenger side mirror, the convex shape makes objects seem farther away than they are. Looking at the onscreen rear view makes the same objec seem even farther away than the mirror on the right. But, that varies disproportionately as the object gets closer. Therefore my brain has to compensate for two out of three views, and one of them isn’t consistent. Sometimes a vehicle that is fairly close behind appears as almost a speck on the horizon. So, what I want is a view in the onscreen that matches the one in the driver side mirror, or the one that would be in the cabin mirror if the tonneau was retracted. If the size of the window was a bit larger, that would be fine too.

Right swipe the menu you have up (on right side of screen) hen you are driving. That menu shouldn't be displayed if you were really concerned with the mirror. That will place the rearview camera to the top center of the screen.
You can also hit the camera icon and switch the entire right side of the screen to display the side mirror view and rear view camera.

Voice commands are also a quick way to get to the cameras

This sounds like one of those "I don't use no stinking backup camera thingy" threads. Like it or not, things change. Embrace change and you'll be happier.

I removed the useless rearview mirror completely and used the space to stealth-mount a radar detector, using a mirror tap cord for power. I totally don't miss the mirror, because the cameras + side view mirrors work great together. I don't need to do any kind of head-craning or double-takes or anything else. The same way you learn to drive using a single pedal after a lifetime of shifting back & forth between gas and brake.

You must be one of those people that constantly cut others off without even realizing it. I spend just as much time looking at the rearview as I do through the windshield. The display is so small and dark it's almost entirely useless at night, there's no way you can see someone that's coming up fast.

You don't need mirrors if you drive fast enough ?‍♂
