They can ticket you for anything, but I am unable to find any law against this sound.

I just checked mine, picked up last Friday, 36K serial. It has the new sound. I love it.
You should be able to change it in the BoomBox app. I think permanently. You can create a "Boombox" folder on the flash drive to load other custom sounds. I found some information here:

According to the article it may work on some other Teslas too but I haven't tried it myself.

My CT honk sounds like a police car. I did not change the honking sound in the system; it happened today. Yesterday, it still sounded normal.
It’s cool, but I still schedule a service appointment.

What are you talking about? It's a horn used for other cars, not to wake yourself up. Roll down the window and honk it if you don't think it exists outside the vehicle.

My horn is pretty loud, the only problem is it sounds like a normal horn. I hope they can offer the new sound as an OTA upgrade.

Y'all are lucky! I had to use my horn yesterday and it honestly sounded like my truck was having an identity crisis. It sounded like the horn of a vehicle 1/6 the size. ?
