Has anyone else encountered when the Nav software thinks the speed limit is something other than correct? Like most neighborhoods the speed limit is 25 mph. My CT thinks it is 15 mph for a few houses then sees a sign for 25 mph and switches to that. Any remedies? Thanks in advance.

Speed limit meta-data is unfortunately something we can't update using any crowd sourced method (for obvious reasons). The only thing you can do that technically helps is to regulate the speed through the zone by pressing the accelerator manually to maintain the speed limit (or faster).

There is a learning curve since the on-screen nags will be a lot more frequent and urgent. But the more you do it, the more it flags that area to be corrected by the data specialist teams.

This is a VERY common situation that has been around for a long time. (years)

Tesla uses OpenStreets maps and the data in it is probably incorrect. You can try updating the data and wait a few months for it to get to the vehicle.

My neighborhood is 15mph.

It generally tries to choose based upon the width of the road, if it's uncertain. Just let it chill ^-^

In my experience in Massachusetts (with a Model 3), this is a relatively recent issue. For years it very accurately matched the actual speed limits. Now, it's like the car has amnesia. Pull out of a neighborhood onto a major route it's logged 1000s of miles on, and it will pick some random speed limit until it passes a speed limit sign to recalibrate. Turn off a 45-mph road into a TSD and it will stay locked at a 45-mph speed limit unless it sees a 30mph sign. Tesla screwed something up a few updates ago, so hopefully they can revert back to its old ways soon. If my dumbass phone GPS knows the speed limit, no reason our Teslas shouldn't be able to do it as well.

My X and ? regularly slow down to 35 on highway 35 when it's actually a 60 mph road. It will speed up again but it wants to go slow for a bit.

Is it just my school zone limit signs, with lights to know when active, is it just my school signs type that the car doesn't recognize?

No, just a regular residential 25 mph road. Does this weirdness for 2 houses then recognizes that it is 25 and corrects itself. I added the speed limit on OpenStreetMap as someone suggested above. We will see.

Car is seldom making right turns on red which are legal in Ohio. Reported.

I know you can press the accelerator to get it to go faster (say 43 in a 35 zone), but how can you get it to go slower (like from 43 to 35 when in a 35 zone)? You can't hit the brakes or it disengages and spinning the wheel (like you would to raise it on highways) in EITHER direction doesn't do anything at all when it says 35/MAX

Teslas will tend to slow for yellow lights or some yellow caution signs.
That's about all it does, slows and then picks up.

Right scroll wheel controls your set speed. Auto-pilot and FSD will go all the way down to 1 mph lol
