I doubt it.

The demand for Cybertruck is insane and you will be surprised. I know you want the prices to come down, but that won't happen for a few years.
The demand is insane? There's 15 of them lined up here in NY. They sent me an email stating that if I don't pick it up by Saturday they were taking my deposit. That's customer service?

Then obviously you don’t need a truck. Stick with the Y….
I very much need a truck, but having been a Tesla owner and early adopter I am disappointed that what was claimed didn't happen. Elon often misses dates but rarely misses specs. There no reason Tesla, who dominated the tech of EV, should have missed so badly on one of the most largely claimed features of 500 mile range. I'm a huge fan but I'm a buyer at my originally estimated preorder price of $69k for trimotor. I was never interested in founders edition. I preordered the package as advertised, and I'm willing to wait till it's there. I'm no mall crawler...we own a farm and I need at least a round trip tow of 200 miles, functional two way power backup and for sure the $7500 rebate. I am pretty confident the prices will be much better in a year or so if not I'll keep our oil burner and order an optimus

So you weren't around for the Model S Plaid+ or the Model 3 launch?

Elon doesn't always hit specs, either. It happens.

It’s still at a high price for most people. If the credit works then that helps. I don’t see this converting a ton of reservations. But there will be a bump for awhile.

You aren’t going to get the trimotor for 69k price new. Prices have gone up across all industry auto industry included. This AWD truck is a bargain at 79k. It’s an absolute steal. Once you drive this truck for a month or so you will begin to understand. Its functionality is off the charts. The ease of driving it is off the charts. The convenience charging at home etc. all of this adds up to the Cybertruck being one of the best most versatile vehicles ever produced. It will go down in history as an automotive masterpiece, a stepping stone toward future automation.

After adding all options, it is about wash, but that person got the FS ones probably ordered a few month ago. He/she won’t receive the non fs one for awhile for sure.

I just returned from a Cybertruck test drive at my local Tesla store. I was blown away by the SBW and RWS systems. It must be experienced in person. It’s a game changer for full size pickup truck‘s.

The $79,900 AWD trim is worth every penny of the selling price. It’s a an absolute steal if the $7500 tax credit ever gets applied.

You still get the heated and ventilated seats, killer sound system, locking differentials, etc. Apparently Tesla did not de-content the non FS trims like many predicted.

There's no federal tax rebate listed, only the commercial clean-car one.

I got my offer as well. What does that mean Commercial clean-care ?

I'll say it again

As long as Tesla imports cathodes from China for Cybertruck 4680 cells, it will not qualify for the Federal Clean Vehicle Credit.

2025 also requires not using minerals from China.

(7) EXCLUDED ENTITIES.—For purposes of this section, the term ‘new clean vehicle’ shall not include—
(A) any vehicle placed in service after December 31, 2024, with respect to which any of the applicable critical minerals contained in the battery of such vehicle (as described in subsection (e)(1)(A)) were extracted, processed, or recycled by a foreign entity of concern (as defined in section 40207(a)(5) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (42 U.S.C. 18741(a)(5))), or
(B) any vehicle placed in service after December 31, 2023, with respect to which any of the components contained in the battery of such vehicle (as described in subsection (e)(2)(A)) were manufactured or assembled by a foreign entity of concern (as so defined).’’.

So there’s no hope?

I'm pretty OCD and I do not think this. I sat in a few white interiors and the waviness is easily seen in the white compared to grey. The white looked cool and I had it as white for months after I confirmed the order, but I am glad I switched to grey. Just my opinion. Also glad I chose grey because it is much darker in the cabin. My preference as well.
That waviness you mentioned was in earlier VIN’s and is non apparent at all in my Cyberbeast VIN 356XX and as a bonus all of the panels inside and out were aligned perfectly and included the wheel covers at delivery.

My only gripe over the entire truck, was that my Beast logo on the tailgate is not etched very dark and can barely see it.

Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit. It's a different section of the legislation with fewer restrictions.
I looked it up and as long as I get the pain version no upgrades, I get it. My final cost $82,135. with tax $ 86,935 add in the tax credit and final is $ 79,435.
