First time posting here. I am a day 2 res holder RN11284. I got the e-mail to configure non-foundation this Friday 4-Oct. I was surprised I got the opportunity so soon. I wonder if people who are TSLA stockholders are being invited first? They did that for a while with the FS orders. Anyway, I'm probably going to wait a bit to see if the $7,500 credit will be available for non-commercial orders.

What was the point of having a line if anyone can jump in and get a truck?

• They needed to know how many people were interested in the first place.
• They needed to know which of the models had the most excited demand.
• They didn't get to the end of the Foundation Series line until last month.
• You still have to buy $20k of options to skip the line.
• Lots of people are still waiting for the tax credit, single-motor, etc.
• They'll tell us when they're ready to cancel the reservations.

I’m a 11274 as well and got a VIN almost instantly for an AWD in the northeast.

I put in my recent VIN (040xxx) however, all it does is tell you it is a 2024 Cybertruck built in the US. It doesn't really say anything else, just that one requirement is built in the US.

Yep... I was really hoping for the tax credit, but saving the $20k from FS was the main thing holding me back before. So I'm willing to hope it might happen, and if not I'll be fine, and glad to have mine after a 5 yr wait! (Hopefully on Wed....?)

I'm RN11209xx and I received my order invite on Thursday, TSLA holder and M3 owner. Not sure if that helped me or not, but it sure couldn't hurt! Ordered on Sunday, and don't have a VIN yet. Do you need financial info to get a VIN? I didn't when I got my M3 in 2022.

Not in May, I didn't.
In fact, I waited for VIN to do the financing. Then took delivery 2 weeks later.
I did do trade in stuff earlier.
