I remember that the Rivians , though they don’t qualify for the full rebate were advertised to get the rebate if leased and customers were leasing and converting to a buy a month later! Does that work with CT and Tesla willing to do so?? Didn’t read much about it in this forum.

There's no lease option currently for the CT. Tesla also doesn't allow the buyout of leases.

If a company bought them to then lease them, they would get the $7,500 Commercial credit that they could then pass along.

Yeah I don't know too much about it honestly as I make too much money to qualify which I suppose is a good thing for me.

Does seem weird tax scam however. I mean why not reduce of car and force the option like the foundation series eg you can't buy the car without options but it's still under $80k.

Can I call the GPS as $10,000 non optional software option?

Or the autolock door feature as "software" worth $2000?

On a side note, FSD for $7000 seems like a terrible buy that I only bought because it was FS cybertruck.

It rents for $100/month. In 4 years that's $4,800. Not accounting for interest, $7000 is about 6 years. My 2020 model Y I paid $60k for and now is worth ~$25k 4 years later on trade, no value is attributed by buyers for FSD.

Take the $7k and buy tesla stock if you want to support them on it lol.

FSD doesn't count when it comes to the tax credit. Only things installed by the manufacturer. FSD is software. You can absolutely get an AWD and add FSD and get the tax credit if the CT qualified just like all the Model X owners who get FSD still get the tax credit.

Those are core wheels? Looks so much different than the website
This video has a closed up look. Explains why its so jarring to a lot of people with the cover.

That might be the highest non-foundation i've seen yet. Im 113350xxx

I'm 113525xxx, I'm warming up for the invite. I'm expecting it this week or next at the rate they are going.

I will be ordering the bare bone CT, wrap it in satin black, and get the At tires if I don't like the all seasons tire. I like core wheels.
FSD will be monthly Subscriptions, I need to enjoy my drives.

Just be sure you add no options eg no fsd, no color no wheels to stay at $79,990 otherwise it's over $80k and no credit.

Any option you add
WRONG-ISH: FSD is software and is not "physically attached to the vehicle" so is NOT a factor in the $80k price ceiling for USA Federal tax credits.

Smart man, I will get the subs when I travel.
For me, the FS package was a complete waste and that's why I didn't buy it.

FYI, FSD is generally designed for day-to-day driving, not trips. While it may use the same stack today, in the past it actually switched to an older version when on the highway.

Interesting, Maybe I calculated wrong? The math is extremely spotty with all the variables but I assumed...

If we use a recently delivered RN like 112,920,000 then that would put me ~ 400k down the line with my RN being 113,350,XXX?

Is that not correct? Obviously we have no idea. That's assuming no cancellations and no foundation conversions of course. If that's the case I don't think we'll get an email for awhile even if the true number is half that =/

Even if it was 100k actual, at a goal EOY 2,500/week production rate...that would be ~10 months? Maybe 5-8 months depending on how quickly they ramp weekly q1/2 '25

Good plan. Good luck. Always AT tires/wheels on eBay.
