Honestly I was trying to figure out how anyone buying one of the foundation edition qualifies for the tax credit. My wife and I don't.

We should, but we were able to make a profit off real estate and put that into an account for this purchase. We are well under the income limit. I wasn't able to build my dream house (covid) but im getting this instead. Cyber therapy.

It is a little troubling that we do not have any news on the tax rebate front if filing was the only reason. It is also weird to think that we are talking about a $61k vehicle as the cheap version. Everything is relative I suppose.

No delivery date yet. But I learned that it was due at my SC on 10/22/24. So, probably few days after that.

My thought is that they sent emails to a block that was large enough to cover current inventory and expected near term production, and factoring their guess on take rate. I thought that by responding even sooner than I was ready, might avoid large delay once a large group starts converting to orders.
Of course it could still be that many are waiting for confirmation of fed tax credit. I don't think mine will qualify (cathodes from China). So it was easier to just have them "Take my Money!"

Picking mine up on Monday. They were trying to get me to pick it up/deliver it to me with a 10/9 - 10/12 timeframe. However, I’m out of the country until Monday. I called Tesla and they were able to get me rescheduled.

One problem that I was facing was payment. The app that goes between the Plaid payment system and my credit union wasn’t working for some reason. Therefore, I transferred the money to my son (since I can’t/am out of town), and had him get me a cashiers check since all of the banks are closed this Monday (Indigenous Day). Regardless, I’m happy to be getting mine finally.

I have 2 reservation numbers, 114 and 120. I've not received emails telling me I could order, I saw another post for someone with a 120 that ordered, so I logged into the Tesla app and my 114 is allowing me to configure a non-FS.

I paid $100 for the 114, and $250 for the 120 reservation, if I was to configure the 114 can I get my $250 back from the 120?

Whoa! Just got my invite a minute ago, RN 1143! I thought I had a few weeks, I guess it's time to decide. Waiting on accountant to get back to me with the commercial tax credit recommendation in a few days, and making the final call between CT and Silverado EV.

How do I get the trade-in amount prior to ordering? Would be nice to factor that in.

I also noticed that extended range battery expected date slipped from early 2025 to mid 2025, probably not worth placing a deposit.

I don't see why not. They are separate reservations.

Got the email on 10/4...thought it about it for a day and ordered on 10/5.
Don't have a VIN yet.
Also applied for the financing thinking I needed it to get a VIN but from what I hear, you don't. That still says Credit Decision Pending even though they did a hard pull and my credit score is 810. I'm getting anxious seeing everyone get their delivery date but most seem to have pre-ordered before me.

that's great. prob low ordering rate. I'll be ready to commit next week. Trying to punt the delivery into Nov/Dec for financial reasons. Def want the 2024 model for commercial credits.
