My cybertruck was parked outside and combination of rains drizzling and dust left some hard water spots. What product do you use to remove those ?

I just got rid of a bunch of water spots this weekend. I scrubbed my truck down with BKF and it now looks perfect. The key to a great result is using a WET blue Scotch Brite pad to put the BKF on. Then, let it dry completely and take it off with windex followed by Sprayway and then water. Overall, it took me about 90 minutes and it looks showroom new.

Don't use the BKF with abrasives in it, use the spray foamy cleaner. It will bring the metal back to it's bright finish without polishing out the surface texture/finish applied at the factory (or the chosen texture/finish you applied previously).

Citra Surf 77 would probably work better, but I haven't had an occasion to try it yet, so I can't say with certainty.

I would avoid taking Cybertruck detailing advice from Out of Spec Motoring/Detailing, they don't know what they are doing and spend an inordinate amount of time, while using far too many chemicals, to get average results that quickly develops an appearance problem again. You might notice they are the Sisyphus of Cybertruck detailing. Always making something simple, difficult.

If you are like most people, you want to spend as little time as possible fussing over your finish which means minimal chemicals and letting the stainless self-passivate to protect the surface from blemishes. It's not hard to blend any spot cleaning into the surrounding area so it's not noticeable. It's easy to keep looking great if you avoid constantly using harsh chemicals that completely strip the passivity layer that develops naturally.

I would not follow the video above. Never have and glad I didn't. I just run it through the car wash about once a week, most basic setting, and it looks great. Seems likely the spots would come off with just that, so you should try it first. A good microfiber hand wipe down using Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine is also a decent choice.

I've heard mixed things about car washes for cybertrucks. Worried it might scratch the finish. Has anyone had any issues with automatic washes?

No. Water spots from hard water are not that simple

At the end of the day as long as they are not ones from a month ago and just a few days ago most cleaner waxes will take care of them. If they are more etched in sometimes you need to
Go with a 2 step wax or more starting so the a more abrasive wax moving to a cleaner and finish wax. You should do this anyway people think because there is no paint it isn’t necessary but if you throw a wax on it every few months it will repel hard water and help it make it much easier control in the future , you can even get water spots on your windows !
