I was just looking at new prices and Tesla website , it says you can order CT and receive it in Oct/Nov 2024

what happened to all the orders ? Did everyone backed out ? Or they manufactured 1 M units already ?

assuming it qualifies, tax credit eligibility will probably have to be rolled out slowly to early reservations otherwise demand will far outstrip supply. I’ve got an early reservation so maybe just wishful thinking.

if I remember correctly, some MY qualified while others didn’t due to battery components or something. Could be a similar situation if they start ramping up IRA complaint CT batteries soon. Again wishful thinking but seems plausible.

Almost 0 chance of this. If it qualifies, which most believe it won't, it will just get updated on the Tesla website. We'll probably see a tweet from Sawyer Merritt right when that happens like the M3 Highland.

I know I'm impatient! ? Been waiting 4 years and pulled the trigger ~10 days ago. Have a VIN but waiting on a delivery date. ?

But how is it possible ? there were 1 plus million reservations only 30K sold so far ... so the remaining people who booked with 100 $ deposit are not buying it ?

IMO, a lot of people probably dumped their reservations when CTs were released last last year and the price/specs were so far off from announce. That said, there is a MUCH larger group of people wanting a ~$60k Cybertruck. Either by price drop, availability of a single motor, and/or tax incentive. I'd imagine the % of sales for $80k+ trucks is a small one, even less for the $100k+ market.

Since Tesla is only just now tapping into the $80-100k market, we should see a big jump in volume compared to the FS $100-120k sales, then another, much larger, jump when CTs sell for $60-80K. Gotta be an exponential curve.

Anybody have truck sales volumes by price range?
