Hopefully the left turn issue will be remedied soon. I have been reporting these incidents, as well. ?‍♂
Thanks! Hope it will not fall on deaf ears -- even if Elon appears distracted, lol.

It actually got worst with the update. I used to just clip that island.

But in my last outing, it hit the good portion of it, jarred the CT and jumped over it.

The cars I almost hit if I did not intervened were the most dangerous.

Lost already my two front left and right mud guards on these too tight a turn.

What's scary is that it crosses and encroaches on solid yellow and white lines of the other incoming lanes.
I upgraded to 2024.33.15 a couple days ago, which includes FSD 12.5.2, and I swear it made the truck go FURTHER into the wrong lane on left 90 degree turns onto side roads with no painted lines. Doesn't seem to do any better with clipping apexes either. I almost wonder if the truck thinks it's turning left onto a 1-way street, so rather than staying to the right it just bombs down the middle of the road. I would hope if it saw an oncoming car it would realize it needs to stay on the right side of the road, and it DOES adjust over to the right after a 100 feet or so, but it should ALWAYS stay to the right even if it can't see painted lines.

Not likely. It has the tendency to remain on the left lane even when the right lane is clear.

Annoying and not-so-courteous in the more polite and thoughtful (now becoming rare) area out West.

I just experienced the same thing. It was almost all the way over in the left lane post update. Also, my CT won't raise or lower now, but I am not sure if it is software or the work they just did on it. If you switch back from advanced updates will it downgrade?

I just uploaded and run 30 miles with it.

It confirmed my dread.

That in upgrades, it improved on some, smoother lane changes. Just illogical going into middle lane when a mile away it's our freeway exit. And still a fast-lane hog when the right lane is clear.

It worsen on more dangerous maneuvers of sharp left turns cutting into incoming lanes much longer. There's no longer any problems on right turns but this time, it just made a full stop for no apparent reason when there was no traffic light and all lanes are clear.

This is one step forward and two steps back.

Ugh! ?

It's just copying what it's taught, that's all AI really is, it doesn't do any actual thinking. Most people cut corners when turning and that's what Tesla is using to train it. Garbage in garbage out. The old C++ code never crossed over lines.

Drove 180 miles on new update.

It got worst on left turns. 3 interventions, twice almost hitting the car one lady got scared shitless with mouth and eyes wide open.

Previously, it only clip the island, same island and it jumped over it. I already smashed my mud flap in previous incidents.

Still hugging the left side of the lane with tires on top of the solid yellow line, this time longer in the rumble strips and too close for comfort on the median concrete barrier.

Still not slowing on sharp curve, crossing the broken white line and encroaching into the other lane.

Pro - good lane preparatiin exiting and entering the freeways - except, again, in right angle left turn.

Apparently my email to [email protected] reporting these were not picked up nor corrected. ?
I almost wonder if this is something related to your camera calibration or something. Does it show the line correctly on the visualization? When you look through the "side repeater mirrors" (showing all three mirrors at once) does the position in the lane match the visualization? I can't imagine why trucks running the same model would drive closer or further away from the lines unless there was some vehicle-specific difference, like camera alignment...

I haven't heard of any way to downgrade without going to the service center. Hopefully 12.5.6 is coming out in the next week or two.

BTW - had an "oh shit" moment last week upgrading to 2024.33.15. Was hoping it was going to include FSD 12.5.6, so started it updating as soon as I got home from dropping my daughter off at school. Started the update and then was working on something in the garage behind the truck, which was outside, and started to hear a beeping noise. Sounded like some sort of warning alert, like an over-temp alarm or something. Quickly realized it was coming out of the speakers inside the truck, and the update was stuck somewhere around 50% through the update. Was 100% sure the truck was going to be bricked, but after 10-15 minutes it just stopped and the update completed fine - no problems since. Scared the crap out of me for sure though!

Had 6 hours 360+ miles round trip in a rainy windy day mostly on the highway under 12.5.5.2. Except annoying warning " poor weather detected, FSD might degraded", it was almost flawless including the left turn, less sharp than before. But i had to cancelled it 3 times on the highway with Auto Max because it drove 71-74 mph in a 60 mph zone. I really wish it can follow the speed limit+% setting.

That surprised me.

Because on the screen, it showing it's straddling on those solid yellow line and just now, it turned left that cuts on the opposing lanes. It's good there are no oncoming vehicles and that's a semi heavy highway.
