The seat backs of the rear seats don't tilt back at all. It's okay for short trips, but I have kids and on long drives they sometimes doze off, and it's nice if they don't have to flop forward or to the side. Are there cushions that they can sit on that let them tilt back a bit? They're small, so losing some of the bottom seat portion is no big deal. I'm thinking some kind of triangle to their back so that the kids can lean back. I'm guessing something like this already exists. Any tips?

I think it would be cool if they reclined, but I’ve never been in a car, or truck with rear reclining seats. I know some cars have them, but they are in the price range of “I’m also paying for a full time driver”

@Pops: One is just in a booster seat at the moment. The lap thing is cute. I'll think about that. Lumbar support pillows, the ones that are just "backs" and nothing under you, are sort of what I'm thinking of. Maybe I should just try one and see how it goes.

@Gaximus: The Model Y back seat tilts back a little. Enough to make a difference. But the back seats in most crew cab trucks don't have adjustable backs at all. So the cybertruck is in good company there. I figure it must be a solved problem. Just wondering what other people appreciate.

I have 2 kids as well. It will be a few years until they are out of child seats, so I do not expect to have this problem in the short term, but I am keen to know what works for you. Our child seats can recline a little bit, but there is a safe maximum. I believe they dont recommend a steep recline because then the force of a crash would be transferred into their spine.

I just found these pillows and they seem very effective, check out the reviews and pictures.

You should get out more. Nissan Pathfinder, Dodge Durango, BMW X7, and a host of other SUV's have rear reclining seats.

I purchased these from Amazon, and they work fantastic for children and adults, they also fold up and stow under the back seat.

They are genius, they loop over the head rest [they work on the back seats too] and you can put one arm & shoulder thru, and rest your head on the pillow.

My wife and girlfriend loves them.

You listed a bunch of SUVs, I said cars and trucks. I'm sure they exist, but I haven't been in them/

I had a F350 CC, dually. Rear seats did move
If if if . U watch Sandy Monroe video on the seats, u would know they are bolted to rear wall. That is so the bottom pop up. I have been in every new PU, none tilt. The seats in my S don't tilt back. Get over it.
