Oops, my bad.
I miss read the "used many times" as the adapter and the Chargepoint station.
And I see your photo matches the new design.

That's weird it doesn't fit. Maybe it was pulled at a downward angle? Top finger was making contact?
No, I lifted it and pushed it in as much as possible. It wasn’t locking so it seems like there’s something wrong with it. The station registered the vehicle being plugged in with a “waiting for EV message” while the CT wasn’t locking the plug. I could just pull it out. I’m used to pushing the plug in all the way. I’ve charged DCFC minimum 20k kw between CCS and NACS so there’s no doubt to me that this adapter has a problem. I have an early March build so perhaps there are some variations with the port but I’ve never had other charging problems so I think it’s the adapter. I’ll try again at an EA or EVgo when I get a chance but I don’t think the station is the problem.

Gotcha, yeah if the latch didn't engage then the truck won't continue with the handshaking.
Either it couldn't go quite far enough or the locking feature isn't quite right.

For what it’s worth, there is a tiny button on the CCS side of the adapter, doesn’t push in very far. Maybe the CCS charger plug isn’t pushing it enough?

I noticed that but the adapter seemed to be locked on solidly. I didn’t have any issues putting it on or taking it off. There was another station that I should have tried before I left but it was cold and dark and I had fussed with it a bunch already. Everything seemed pretty solidly attached it just didn’t work even with a lot of unplugging, restarting, wiggling, etc.

@cardad I tried to find a ChargePoint charger to test with, but when I got there it turned out to be a ♾️ EV Connect charger. So I got that app. The adapter works fine, though the rate could be higher. The cable is monstrous and torques on the charger so this time it actually didn’t touch the frame.

I wonder if there’s a difference in my plug length or in the space between the edge of the fender and the port. I did run into an issue starting at a J1772 Semaconnect station but I have no idea why because I was just using the stock NACS adapter and after sitting for a second it started working. Never had issues at this location and using NACS connectors have not been an issue recently. Maybe I need to clean out the charging port…

Any chance you can confirm the length of your connector piece? I measured mine at just over 3.5” so maybe I received the wrong adapter. There are zero markings on it.

I did test fit it in better lighting and it does seem to insert all the way in with a small gap but it still won’t lock. I measured the positioning of the locking indention and it appears to be very close to the same dimensions as the stock J1772 adapter. One noticeable difference though is the internal pins are noticeably more recessed in my CCS adapter. (See pic) Maybe this is why it isn’t working.

Yours has the indents on the sides which are new.
The extra recess depth is likely for 1000V vs 160VAC peak.

I had the same results charging at a Hummer charging station at a GM store confirmed to crank out 350 kwh. Just under 50 for me. It gave the "limited by charging staion" message. They must not communicate well and it just chooses a rate that it knows is safe? Honestly I'm kinda relieved, I was a little worried about juicing up at max with aftermarket hacks.

Edit: that charger is 50k. I have have since successfully charged at well over 100k at other locations.

@cardad here is my measurement.

If I recall correctly, unlike the normal Tesla chargers, when you insert it, it does not try to latch on the adapter until you have initiated the charge on the kiosk. Then maybe push and wiggle and UPLIFT and hold, then the CT’s light color will change from light blue to dark blue, and stay solid, then eventually turn pulsating green. I don’t think it’s actually latched until dark blue.

I think I hear a click when lifting upward which corresponds with the long thin poker getting pushed in just a little bit further.

I just got the A2Z unit. It looks identical, comes with the same case, but the little button below the DC seems to be replaced by a piece of rubber and does not stick out.

That’s interesting. Probably not important, but did it come with or without the cover flap? Maybe the button is just to see if the flap is closed?

No flap came with it. It’s possible this was the “cosmetic defect” that they said they didn’t send them on.

I added the flap photo above but here it is again.
