Bought the QR3 cybertruck bike rack for our 2 E-bikes from RIDE88. https://www.ride88.com/cybertruck

The quality was absolutely outstanding, and the service impeccable. Had a few questions, and Jerry responded personally through messaging, and subsequently by phone call. very easy to assemble, fits perfect, great quality, and very easy to clamp in and secure the bikes.

One problem I ran into, which was a function of our bikes and not the rack, was the length. They stick over just a little bit over the trunk lid, so the trunk lid could bounce around. I found what I think is an OK solution – a ratchet strap to go from the tow hitch to one of the L brackets within the bed. That appears to secure the trunk let down without it bouncing around. A second strap to secure the back of the bikes down as well. Once I had it all set up, it doesn’t take more than two or three minutes to load the bikes and secure them along with the two straps.

Couldn’t be happier with the build quality, the service, and the outcome! If you’re looking for a bike rack for your Cybertruck bed, look no further. One other note is Jerry also makes a custom bracket if you need to have your bikes fit a little bit closer to the front of the bed. That helps if length is an issue.

I think they actually sell a fix for the tailgate that might be a bit more elegant/easiest than the straps.

A bike rack is in the cards for me as well. I want to be able to shut the tailgate though. Have you considered a fork mount? Would require removing the front wheel but this is quite easy. Advantage would be the bikes would mount lower and be more aerodynamic. Also they would take up less length allowing the tailgate to shut. Just my two cents.

$750 for a bike rack for a truck, is beyond ridiculous. Even if it is built to a quality that justifies that price. The concept just doesn’t make sense. And you can’t even close the tailgate. This makes the $200+ tailgate cover look like a steal.

You can put two bikes in the back, standing up with just tie downs - I do it with dirt bikes but same concept. And they hold well - we do some light 4x4 to the trail head and they hold steady as a rock!

For each bike - Put bike tire in front corner - use tie down on D link in the center of floor (front) and then a tie down to an L-Track mount point about 1/2 back from front. In the pic, the left bike - you can see the L-Track mount point (carabiner attached) and the right you can see the tie down to the D ring on the floor (I use the far center one).

With motorcycles I cant shut the tailgate but bet you could with bikes (push the rear tires to the center)

My 2 cents for those not wanting to make an investment for racks.

But Kudo's for OP, it's a good setup and if it works for you then awesome!

Appreciate the comments. My choice was either a Thule e-bike hitch rack for two or something in the bed. The Thule hitch model I liked would have been more expensive, and it would have prevented us from charging (short supercharger charger cables). The bike length was something I knew might be an issue - not at all a failure of the rack.

And I stand by what I said. The quality of this in-bed rack is top notch. It is a piece of cake to use. Insert front wheel, pull clamp, then one strap across the back of the bikes, and one strap to secure tailgate. 3 minutes and done, and very secure. AND if I want to remove the two tire holders to free up bed space it takes less than a minute. Great design for install and removal.

Understand others may feel differently and I respect that. BUT if you are looking for an in bed rack solution, this is a great choice.

very nice. I see that your tailgate is down like mine. Does it bounce around at all, and do you think this could be a problem for the hinges? This is something that worries me at least a little. I use a tiedown strap from the hitch to an L ring which seems to hold it in place, but it’d be nice to know somebody else has driven with the tailgate down and it bouncing around a bit without any damage.

In my case the dirtbikes extend far enough and weigh enough there's no movement on the street (I dont drive in beast mode and jump small cars). Might be some movement off-road if I get a bit overzealous but I take it easy.

I have something similar to this for my other truck but havent found them yet for CT. https://www.rackbiz.com/products/ta...3kRFXbOF-dmeI6iIfaZHi_vXgJ-S4MQoaArcrEALw_wcB

I’ve taken bikes on the tailgate and a hitch rack and found it fairly easy to charge either by backing into chargers with larger gaps in between or using pull through chargers. I personally would not want the bike sticking up into the wind as you lose a fair chunk of range like that.
