greetings to fellow Cybertruck community. I understand that Some Cybertrucks are delivered with factory settings which might delay software updates including FSD. This appears to be a common issue where the vehicle needs to be "tagged" or flagged for updates by Tesla's system. I have had the car for a week and no updates pushed so even though I am paying for FSD I still don’t even have the basic version of it. Outside of the fact that this makes no sense (the car was delivered so why would it be in “factory software”?), and the fact that I have been explicitly told by Service that they have no idea how to fix because the “engineering team” is not providing them with updates on this particular issue, do you guys have any idea how long does it usually take for this to be remedied? Any insight welcomed!

Thanks! I don’t really have many other choices than waiting… for sure… but it bothers me that Tesla can do all these amazing things and yet once again when it comes to customer service, miserably fail… this is an easy fix… not at all complicated. Deliver the car with software tagged for release… how can I be paying subscription for something that does not exist. Does that seem fair?

In you Telsa App, I'd submit a service ticket to get your update pushed to you. Also, what version does your car say its on? Normally, the factory versions are something like 2024.xx.100.xx.

The most current, widely released version, is 2024.33.15 (FSD 12.5.5.2).

I ended up doing this actually, and got this message (quite promptly from my SC):
"...Firmware packages are released in VIN batches determined by our teams in California so, 1. We don't overload our network by updating the entire global fleet at once and 2. So they can catch any firmware bugs or necessary fixes and correct those before releasing the next batch, or even roll back the firmware if necessary. As long as you have access to a strong, consistent connection to WIFI, you'll receive the latest update automatically when it becomes available for you! Unfortunately we have no way to prioritize your VIN or manually push it to your vehicle before the scheduled time comes."

I took delivery on Saturday, so we haven't been waiting long by any means. (VIN is in the 48000s) but considering we have a MY with FSD as well... it's a bummer to not have it when you're used to it. Oh well... at least the CT is fun to drive!

Thanks. Software v12 ⁦(2024.32.100.1 352b77508820)⁩

I called service and they scheduled a mobile appointment saying that this maybe gets someone to look into it faster even though they know a mobile appointment will not solve the issue… which speaks volumes about the service situation at Tesla!

this is simply frustrating

thanks… I got the same answer the second time i called with the added note that it may take a month or two and that FSD is a privilege and they cannot guarantee when I will have it.. simply a bad experience. It is my fourth Tesla so I am used to various issues but this is a new one!

I've also had 4 Teslas and this has been normal since 2018, at least.

This is one of the most asked questions on the TMC forum. It used to be multiple months, but has gotten better.

Gotcha, interestingly, while I was picking my CT up, it was attached to the SC's network and showed that an update was available - clearly deferred updating at the SC and updated immediately after getting to the house.

I'm betting you'll see it hit your CT shortly.

Dude, you just got to chill.

The ONLY think that you can do is check the software page and see if it says that your vehicle is up to date.

If it is up to date, then there really isn't anything that anyone can do. Just chill.

If it isn't up to date, then as it suggests, you need to give it some Wi-Fi.

But you need to spend a LOT more time driving the truck before using FSD. Many of us went 6 months not having any FSD in the truck, you can wait for a few days.

Did not have that issue neither on my Y nor on my 2 X’s… I was lucky I guess. It just bags me that this is a simple software issue that is in the full control. Upon delivery flag the vin for update…

Thanks for your POV. Don’t appreciate the tone but thanks regardless.

I am totally chilled ? , just pointing out that a company I love can be better on something as simple as this. And wanted to understand how long does it usually take. Thats

I understand what I need to do and I have owned Teslas for 6 years so yes I do know how it works.

I adore Tesla and never moving to another vehicle but that does not mean we should not point out when something is done the wrong way.

I could have gotten the Cyber 4 months ago and I did not specifically because I wanted the FSD to first be available as I drive a lot.

So thanks again for the pointers!

enjoy the car!

Taken delivery of mine on Tuesday with no FSD update yet either. Update us when you get yours.

Has anybody with a non-foundation model gotten the push? Wondering if that's a filter they're using currently.
