Has anyone slammed their finger on the CT door. I was trying to avoid finger prints and I accidentally slammed my finger in the CT door. Be careful when you shut the door so it doesn’t happen to you. I needed three stitched. I will save you from my photos.
I haven't caught my fingers in a car door since 1968 in my mom's AMC Rambler Station wagon. Hurt so bad, I made sure to keep my hands clear of closing car doors ever since.

Now I get my thrills doing higher risk endeavors.

I got two of my fingers - no stitches but nice cut / hurt like hell! No handles at the time, now I have them and no issues. Also bonked my head on the frunk corner...trying to kill myself apparently. It's not bad, shit just happens...good times, glad you are ok!

I haven’t had any issues with aftermarket handles but this time I used my right hand like the picture and I couldn’t get my finger out fast enough and it jammed the door. Instead of opening the door I pulled my finger and I think I made it worse. Just be careful this can happen and release the door sooner.

I knew that was the dumbest accessory for the CT to be ever made the moment I saw it.

I know some people like them, but physics is totally against the placement, purpose, and efficacy of these devices. It's like closing your house door by swinging it closed from the inside handle.
Buyer beware.

I am terrified of this happening to my wife, or kids or my dogs because they are spastic. Sorry that happened to you.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago, too. Luckily, only bruised.

I've been opening my doors (and the rest of my family) from the protected top edge like most people intuitively do, but to close the doors, we grab the opposite side of the protected edge and pull towards the truck, grabbing only the black protected top edge. You obviously let go when you have enough speed, which isn't much for these heavy doors. 99.999% of the time it closes perfectly and your fingers are nowhere near the "slice" points.

Pro tip, close the door using a fist. There is much less oil on the back side of a human hand than there is on the palm or underside of fingers.
I use the back of my arm just above the elbow. Hardly any oil at all if any. And none at all if you’re wearing a long sleeve shirt.

I use the jamb-handles to "fling" the door closed, and my hands are no where near it by the time it is halfway there. Most of the time I'm already walking away.

People were accidentally slamming their fingers in doors long before the Cybertruck arrived ?‍♂

If you hold the handle all the way through door closure, I don't think the handle is the problem ?
If we have to explain to people how to close a door that we are physically in contact with, there is a problem. Perhaps someone can make a video on YouTube that explains this in detail. I am sure a video that is at least one hour in length will suffice.
