Barring something going sideways I take delivery of my AWD CT tomorrow.

People in the Denver area really hate this truck and hate Elon Musk. They are big mad about the election I guess.

I have a business trip in a couple of weeks that will take me out of town for a few days and I already have concerns about vandalism if I leave the truck parked at the airport garage.

Anyone have thoughts? I know the body is not going to be affected by the person who wants to kick, ding or key the truck but I’d be more worried about coming home and finding a slashed tire or two or a broken windshield.

Private parking is available. Even have some EV slots so you can check your cameras often without worry of too much drain.

That is more secure, but parking a car outdoors in the wintertime and dealing with shuttle transport to/from the airport to pick up your car is awful. I always park in the garage as I am reimbursed for it.

The odds of something bad happening are pretty low. If you can bring it charged up you can spend the power on Sentry mode, though right now it's a bit of a power hog.

I have a compact suv that is ubiquitous. I drive it when I would rather blend in and not attract attention. I would rather leave it parked at an airport than something like the cybertruck that I am going to worry about. You probably won't see many Lamborghini's, Roll-Royces or other expensive cars in the long term parking either. Another option would be taking public transport, uber, lyft or whatever.

It’s funny when liberals turn on each other but then us consumers are caught in the crossfire. I would leave it at airport, just make sure sentry is on with sound. It sucks we have to be afraid that others will vandalize a car because of their own flaws.

Sentry mode is nothing but a deterrent. If you have someone on video vandalizing your vehicle the cops literally don't care about it unless you have something like a license plate number to give them.

Even if someone was arrested for the property damage the Denver county DA would have them out immediately and likely drop the charges.

I travel a couple of times a month for work, and park my CT in the covered parking at DIA. Have not had any problems. Well, other than the battery draining. I lose about 1.5 miles per hour it is parked.

I’ve left my CT at Houston and Orlando airports and had nothing but lookie-loos in the sentry videos. I figure I’ll lose 10% per day until 20% and then Sentry turns off and it will be 1%/day. I don’t worry about it because I have peace of mind and there is a SC close by. My CT happens to be at the Orlando airport right now for a couple of weeks and I was lucky enough to get an EV stall so it will be at 60% until the day I return and then I’ll tell it to charge to 80% for my arrival. Can’t beat that!
