So this is probably a dumb question, but I’m going to go for it anyway…

My wife’s model Y has forward and backup Nannies that tell me how far I am from an object. Do I need to enable something or does the said feature not yet exist?

Your wife’sTesla is a pre-2024 model with additional sensors. The CT and all other new vision-only models do not give those digital readings, however they try to give you a better top-down synthetic view for good enough, if not better, all-around situational awareness. And they will give you chime warnings if you enable it.

Is there like a heat map or something to show me how far I am from something?

I mean distance would be ideal - but that’s not happening it seems?

Depending on how recently you got your truck you might still be on the base software. Don’t think the base software has the heat map, at least mine did not.

Today. No update in queue.
If you don’t see a heat map yet when reversing to park you’ll most likely get it when your car gets its first update. Should be pretty soon, took mine around a week I believe

Right now, I’m backing up with thoughts and prayers. Some type of tech assist is preferred.

It’s your first day with the car so it’ll take a bit of practice to get it down. Luckily the backup camera view is great. And by the time you get a hang of it fully you’ll have the update my friend! Good luck and congrats on the truck my man!

Software update came through this morning. It got stuck in 60% for a bit. I thought, this is it, one of them electric car expert sites is going to quote me on a software update brick story. Not today. Truck dope aye eff now.

Also. Core wheels and tires are the true $3,500 upgrade. You don’t get the raptorwranglerbroumrumrum on the road. Super quiet.
