I hope to tackle this today. This truck is quite large as it now sits in my driveway.

(scratching my head)

the tape says yes, my eyeballs say no. We shall see

I removed all my mirrors and it works great. I use the forward camera to line up and then use the side cameras to visually balance the lateral space for most of the parking process, transferring back to the forward camera for final stopping point and then the rear camera to verify the back is in properly. And then I breathe out all the air in my lungs and shimmy through the gap to get out of the truck.?

[edit - still photos since even a 8 second video won’t load]

I car camped for 9 days in Colorado in my Model Y. It was splendid. This summer is going to be different trying to do it in the CT. I’m
Thinking L get a tarp or something similar to provide elemental protection in the bed.
Remove the front passenger seat and you can camp in the cabin. This guy did it in the video here:

I took delivery of my Cyberbeast yesterday. It fits perfectly in my 20’ garage. It’s way easier to park than what I imagined - the cameras help a lot. I plan to put some marker on the wall to align easily. I just have to make sure I don’t accidentally open the tailgate when it’s parked. That’s the only thing we need to be careful about.

I can fit mine in my garage but it’s VERY tight. It’s a standard 8’ wide and 7’ tall.

1) I have to back in. I need to use my mirrors and cameras to line it up.

2) I have to set my truck to entry mode

3) When I get close to getting in, I will manually fold the mirrors

4) I used 4” white duct tape on my garage floor so I can more easily align my backup camera lines with the white lines.

(What I was trying to do was see if it would auto-park but it doesn’t. But that’s okay. The lines help me reverse so I’m glad I did it.)

For those of you who switched from a Y, what are your thoughts? Any regrets?
One of the reasons why I personally pulled the trigger on the Cybertruck is because they offered FSD transfer.

I have a 2021 Model Y AWD but instead of trading it in, I’m giving it to my daughter as her first car. But she doesn’t need FSD. I do! lol

The Cybertruck is better in every way other than sometimes the size is scary (but I’m not used to driving trucks. Although it’s been about a month and I’m getting used to the spacial awareness of my CT.

But it’s so smooth and comfortable and large and plenty of storage (especially when you add aftermarket accessories to increase the storage even more).

I do not regret it for a second.

Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forums as I'm 90% convinced to purchase a CT but was hoping to get some owners' opinions on it.

Quick background:
  • I've test driven it (about a month ago) and loved it.
  • Currently own a 2020 Model Y (with purchased FSD)
  • We also have a 2024 Model 3 (w/FSD)
  • CT woudl be replacing my Y
  • I live in New England (Greater Boston area)
Questions: (in the title but posting here too)
  1. One of the biggest discussion / contention points for my wife is the size of the truck. Our 2-car garage measures 24' 7" (w) x 22' 9" (l). I've taken the CT's length and measured how deep into my garage it would go...and it would fit but leave only about 2 feet of space from the back wall to the truck.
    1. I'm not too concerned about the width as it's only a few inches wider than the Y and my garage width is about 8.3 feet wide (luckily, my garage openin isn't too narrow)
  2. For those of you who switched from a Y, what are your thoughts? Any regrets?

As for use cases for the CT, it would just be fulfilling the average crossover SUV owner's use cases. The only real reasons where I'd need the 6' bed is for: hauling my motorcycle to the race track (would be a lot easier than towing my small trailer with the Y), the occasional times when we need to haul some big items.
I kept the Y but the truck took over the bay that the Y used to park in. Truck gets the attached garage bay because of PowerShare and because it’s the thing most driven. Truck is obviously longer than the Y but there’s still clearance to walk around the front and sides.

Have you gotten PowerShare working with CT?

I was reading the PowerShare documentation from Tesla and they say it will be available via an OTA in 2025 for Powerwall owners (I have Tesla Solar and Powerwall 3). So, hoping I can get this feature for "free."

PowerShare came online for me yesterday actually. The installers finished Friday afternoon. Tesla did their thing, and it’s lit up in the app. I do not have a powerwall

Ah, so the way you got it working is through by purchasing the 'PowerShare accessories' (i.e., Tesla Gateway and Universal Wall Connector)?

Yeah. That stuff came with the truck along with installation.
