Genuinely curious how people will reply. I know this forum does not represent EVERY CT owner but its a good swath. And those who are active most recently either seem to be:

1. Selling something.
2. Asking if others have had the same issue or seeking a solution.
3. Posting about how much they love their truck.

so really the point here is to graph the data, your response is appreciated!

if you have had problems, and have posted about them, feel free to mention them so others can view your threads.

Feel free to post about your great experiences too!

if you haven't had problems or don't care about the defects you may or may not have noticed, dont hate on this thread, as just because you havent had issues, does not invalidate those who have. The point isnt to attack the product, but merely to get an idea of the statistics of ownership.

In general, im sure the CT, like every other tesla product is as described. Otherwise, it wouldn't sell. I just think this poll give all a voice.

If youve noticed little “things” what were they? Cosmetic? Functional? Interior? Exterior?

So you just want the bad then correct ? So how does that represent real “statistics of ownership?” You want to compile the complaints with thread reference but not attack the product? ?
Not sure i understand your question. Did you read the title or my first post?

I was getting something out of the back, and the plastic "sail" piece on the driver's side (the slanty bit, with the Vault controls on it) lifted right up off the body of the truck and then immediately snapped back down into place. The buttons didn't work immediately afterwards, but I closed the vault from the touchscreen which seemed to fix everything, and it's been fine ever since. Brought it up to my service center and they found nothing wrong, but it's never happened again.

Anyway, I'm careful loading and unloading now, and besides that, the truck is perfect. And considering the issue basically fixed itself, I guess I'd call it minor? Well, that's mine.

Yes you stated that “if you haven't had a problem it doesn’t invalidate those who have “ you want to hear from the people who have and then said “ it’s merely to gather statistics of ownership” so if you only want to hear from the bad but not the good and have people reference the thread they posted about you are gathering one sides statistics correct? Which would make the product look bad . If you posted the same question in a Chevy forum about the Silverado (I’ve owned one nearly 20 years ) that’s been to market for 40 plus years you will get an equal percentage of negative feedback. IMO. So I don’t understand the motive of the thread?
oh , i mean the title references the question of problems, thus trying to generally elicit data on the frequency and severity of problems with the product from forum members, as this is not data that tesla publicizes.. why would they? It’s not meant to imply that it is a bad or failed product.. feel free to share your great experiences too! I made poll choices for those who feel that their specimen is perfect or dont care about the little things, even those who had issues and got them fixed and are now problem free. If you feel left out or like your experience isnt represented in the poll options, let me know and ill edit them to give your stat a say too, as given that there are almost 30k members (by my estimation) you likely arent the only one in that category.

I just ask that you dont take it as an attack on the product, its not my intent. Denying a problem with the product doesnt mean they dont exist.

Thanks for sharing! Glad it seemed to resolve itself!

Anyone denying a problem for a truck they spent 80k plus on to protect it is silly. The problem with gathering “statistics” from these echo chambers is you have 50% owners 20% wanting to
Be owners and 30% troll haters. Also I would go so far as to say people come to forums such as these for problem solving more then people just generally stoked about there purchase with zero problems

One group not mentioned are potential buyers… i think its helpful data for them to have, to help them decide whether they want to spend that $80k+.

It would be interesting to see the informed opinion of a statics/polling professional on these type polls; that is to say, polls of self-selecting subjects within an uncharacteristic subset of the complete pool of possible subjects.

I think the professionals’ opinion would be “the results are statistically meaningless.” I think that’s the case, but would add, “…yet entertaining, nonetheless.”

Isnt that what consumerism is anyway? Entertainment? ?

Like I said if you posted this on a Chevy, ford,Toyota forum asking about there issues you will get a overwhelming amount of
Negative feedback and those vehicles have been to market for 30 plus years. If a majority of the CTs had major issues it wouldn’t be a secret. Like Amazon you can read 10k 5 star reviews but focus on the 7 1 star ones.

But sometimes its helpful to see the issues. It can be useful info if you are considering buying. Even amazon allows you to sort and filter product reviews by the rating… I noticed there seems to be a tendency towards “your problem is unique because my experience has been perfect” or “its not really a problem because its covered under warranty” responses on this forum. I just wanted to fill in the blanks with owner opinions

Im also not implying that “the majority” are having issues, im just curious what % of owners ARE having issues, and to what degree.

I figured what better way to compile at least some of that data than to ask owners on the ct forum.
