It mounts either on side of rack or on top. Comes with both styles of mounting hardware. With side mounts used it's flush and can put an "overloader" tent on top.If camping it Seems like if you use that you won’t be able to use a tent on the top area?
Looks nice, I just wish they let you install mounting points only to support the canopy and not the entire roof rack. Visually I cannot have a roof rack with my wrap, so I would want to install for purposes of using then uninstall when done so having mounting points that get installed would be the best way for me to do that as opposed to a full rack. I've let Mars AG know this.Hey everyone!
I just installed the Kammok Crosswing (Awning) on my Mars AG Expedition Front Rack.
The awning installation was pretty easy, and I’m really impressed with how it looks. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Here is my installation video
the Cybertruck mounting points won't hold the canopy by itself and would never recommend using it alone for anything. The mounting points are very weak and you need to spread out the torque and weight of anything you put on it. The mounts are 1/16" thick sheetmetal and use only 3/16" studs. I had to build supports and mount directly to the casting so I could install a lumber rack.Looks nice, I just wish they let you install mounting points only to support the canopy and not the entire roof rack.
