A lot of people think water intrusion into the bed is from the tonneau cover but it's actually usually from the weather strip with the tonneau applique being improperly seated. The applique is meant to be removable (ie to install the Cybertent) and the weather strip is not bonded to both surfaces so there can be a poor fit. Took it to Tesla service and even pointed out the issue is with the applique weather strip but they adjusted the tonneau and didn't even touch the weather strip :/ Sometimes you gotta do it yourself if you want the job done right.

I did this a few months ago and it didn’t help. Haven’t had a chance to diagnose.
Didn’t help me either, but put an auto glass seal between the appliqué and roof glass and it did the trick. Appliqué edge abutting the glass needs to be cleaned with alcohol. Using an adhesive promoter/enhancer will allow a tight seal. When applied looks like it’s part of the appliqué . It’s an inexpensive and effective way to minimize the drips.

Oh man, thanks for this. I'll be testing mine and sealing it off this is where it's leaking from. My tonneau has been "reworked" three times by the service center and it's still too wet to keep, say, suitcases back there on a road trip.

Edit: Just tested. Yup, just watched water run off the glass right through the gap between the glass and the applique. Hot damn.

Edit2: That particular windshield rubber seal is currently on sale at Amazon. I have never been so excited to stick on a piece of tape in my life.

So disappointed! Same thing here. A light rain but for a few days, and now I can "hear" the water moving when I turn or speed up. Where is all this water going?? How can I drain the water that's getting accumulated?

This is pretty funny, though I'm hesitant to post it because it's fodder for the the various low-IQ "media" / reddit people looking for clicks.

Anyway, while I wait for the official Tesla service bulletin with the replacement aero flap, which is also while I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver the rubber windshield seal that @Art138 posted above, I tried just sticking a strip of high-quality electrical tape down across that gap between the roof glass and the current aeroflap. Basically just one strip, from one side of the truck to the other, over that little gap.

And... I'll be damned. It's been raining for the last couple days on and off, and the bed is dry.

Don't know how long it'll last, but if you want a temp fix to hold you over until Tesla gets the parts distributed ... ?‍♂
