Ordered an extra set of D rings with my voucher and the box came opened and missing the screw/bolts and instructions. Filled out the return form but tesla shop said they would contact me.

Wish they would make this easier and clear on the process.

Anyone else order a set of these and how are they installed?

Pretty sure the bolt is already installed in the truck. You have to remove the plastic cap in the vault floor where you want to install the d-ring. Once you do that you will see the bolt. Remove it and use it to install and secure the d-ring.

This is the way - added D rings to all non populated spots. Uses existing bolts, boxes just contain the ring...takes 1 min each.

As someone already noted, the bolt is there under the cover. You need a 15mm socket. They were torqued down pretty hard but nothing I couldn’t overcome with a short ratchet. I tried to put them back the same. I think if I were concerned about them becoming loose, I’d put a little thread locker on em.

For those who installed new Drings, 2 of mine are so hard to roTate out, that I have to use a screw driver. Is that because they are torqued down too much, or is the D-ring not affected by the torque?(not sure if I’m explaining the correctly)

The ones that came on my truck are like that , looking at it , it doesn’t seem the torque would matter as the ring is on a hinge. I sprayed some WD40 on the hinge and it got a little easier but not much and still need to use a screw driver to pop it up to grab

I am doing the same. I cannot stand seeing all 10 of those plastic covers (I have a non-FS so my truck didn’t come with any d-rings in the bed floor).

I wish I could find a bed mat that has all 10 cutouts.

I’m buying these to rotate them out
