While waiting to get my truck I downloaded a 3D printed wheel cap for the Cybertruck and modified it to add the Tesla logo. I thought that I would share the project with everyone, (I really like the way that it came out). I. flipped the image around to show both sides and an angled view.

How does this look installed?
I don't know yet. I am waiting on an extrusion nozzle for my 3D printer to print the caps out which should arrive this coming week. Also, I do not get my Cybertruck until the end of next week. I will post a pic of them installed afterwards.

I have quite a bit of experience with 3D printing. The semi-gloss finish of the cap won’t look good unless the face of that cap is matte-painted after printing it.

It would be interesting to add an acrylic inlay over the cap. Perhaps a 1.5-inch engravable acrylic would work.

I have printed some caps in black PETG. They are a slight bit shiny and perhaps matte filament would look better. But, it is way way better than the bare space that it was. I wonder when Tesla will get my wheel covers to me!

thank you for your 3D printing efforts!

My 3D print build plate has a textured PEI surface so the final product does not have a glossy appearance. I may change the black color to a dark grey in attempt to match the dark gray wheels. Matching there color might be difficult. I use a high flow PETG filament most of the time so durability is not a concern.

The ABS material (which I cannot print) in this Amazon product might prove tougher than PETG too. But there is something deeply satisfying in printing something at home - I bet we all agree on that!

lol yea I agree! If you decide to try the acrylic approach, I can send you the cut pieces for no more then shipping and material costs.

I originally thought of printing my own but for about 20 bucks I got them on Amazon and the quality is 10 times better than anticipated. The material alone would have costed me more. Check them out..

I can print all four cpas for $6.86 or $1.71 for each cap. If I print them at 100 percent solid fill they should be of comparable quality. I may have to scale the cap size up or dawn depending on the fit so I may have to waste a couple of caps to get it right. All in all it should cost me under ten bucks to get them printed. With that said, the color matching with the Amazon caps may turn out to be much better than what I can print. We will see.

Believe it or not the color of the Amazon ones are close but still a tad bit off. You can tell they are a diff shade on a sunny day

Good to know. I thought about it some more and black shouldn't look too bad because the tires are black.

What wheel are these designed for? The vast majority of these available on Amazon either do not say or have it hidden way down in the specs that these covers are for the Cyber Wheel ONLY (ie Beast with All Terrain Tires. They were NOT a good fit for the Core Wheel with the All Season Tires.
Just a heads up since almost no one is asking about wheel differences, although slight, I saw many reviews returning them if they had not already lost at least one to just falling off while driving.

I would be interested in something for the Core Wheel, but would prefer either nothing of just the top triangle style Tesla uses for the CT. My $.02 feedback.

After watching my Alma Mater defeat Clemson today I put this together, so I may have changed my mind a bit.
