I like how you can monitor the trucks' location even honk and fart
from the app when you let someone barrow your truck.
Or more importantly if it grows legs. why would it do that if it's got wheels?
I mean gets stolen or is it even possible?
Have we had a single stolen cybertruck case anywhere?

Setup pin to drive on app and main screen. The four digit key is your last hope for someone with your key card/phone or you incapacitated in the vehicle.

if they were to take your CT the location can be seen on any app signed in and I’m sure a remote control kill is possible from Tesla and it not hard to identify for l.e.o

I know it's one of most secure vehicles out there.
and after giving it some thought you gota be really dumb to try.
and you're not getting very far in it. for sure not going to get away with it.
but I'm still interested to know if any attempts have been made.

Well… if they walk up to you with a firearm and say give me the key or your phone, it’s kinda like any other vehicle? The positive is it’s easily traceable… so kinda a dumb idea by the criminal.

Teslas are hard to steal and almost never are. Unless someone gets your phone or keycard. And even then it can be tracked.

Competent thieves can just tow it away.

I did hear of one stolen in Chicago that was later in a wreck. My last truck was a TRX which is probably the most stolen vehicle in the US. Although I basically bulletproofed that truck it scared me to death anytime I parked it on the street. I do not worry at all with the CT

I don’t think there is a way to steal it in the traditional sense. You can’t just come up to it, figure out how to get inside, then do anything to get it moving. You have to have the owners key card or phone to even entertain getting away in it.

But let’s just think about what it took for us to learn this truck, either by watching videos or on delivery day. Most people without experience with the truck couldn’t figure out how to open the door or make it move even if you gave them your phone AND key card.

For the thief sophisticated enough to research how to get in and drive it, he/she would also learn or should know the truck can be followed in real time with any other phone attached to the account.

I bet if a CT was left out as a bait car, doors open, windows down, with the phone sitting on the center console, most people would get in and be completely lost as to what to do next. No “gear shifter”, no turn signal stalks, just a giant screen and camera staring right back at you.

My experience with other Teslas is if they are towed then you can’t see their location. It only shows location if driving. So I toss an AirTag in the glove box so if it were towed I’d still have its location.

I've heard of people leaving their phone in the car and have their Tesla stolen., Someone can walk right up and open the door and drive away.
