Looking for objective feedback from other Cybertruck owners and anyone experienced with PPF installs.
I had my Cybertruck wrapped in satin black Kavaca PPF by a Ceramic Pro Elite dealer. Total cost was about $5,000 for a full body wrap. After a separate accident, the passenger-side quarter panel was replaced and rewrapped by the same shop for an additional $1,000.
From the beginning, things didn’t seem right. When I picked the truck up after the panel rewrap, it hadn’t even been washed and the new panel already had visible dirt and contamination under the film. That panel was also supposed to have ceramic coating applied, but it appeared dirty and unprepped, which made me question whether proper prep and coating were actually done.
Since then, I’ve had ongoing issues across the truck:
When I asked for a refund, he declined and said the only option was for him to redo it again under warranty.
I’ve since had two independent PPF shops review it (one being another Ceramic Pro installer), and both said the install quality is poor and that the proper fix is full removal and rewrap of the entire vehicle.
At this point I don’t have confidence in the original installer to redo it, but I want to sanity check before moving forward.

Since then, I’ve had ongoing issues across the truck:
- Lifting and peeling edges in multiple areas
- Visible contamination and particles trapped under the film
- Jagged, uneven cuts instead of clean lines
- Driver-side mirror has a section left exposed (bare stainless showing instead of being wrapped)
- Edges on the tailgate and along the bottom of the driver-side door not wrapped around
- Items listed on the original quote (PPF on headlights, taillights, brake lights) were not installed. When I asked, the installer said he “can” add it, but it wasn’t done as part of the original job

For those with experience:
- Are these types of issues normal for Cybertruck PPF, or does this indicate poor workmanship?
- Would you trust the same installer to redo it, or go elsewhere?
- Is full removal and rewrap the right move here?
