I'll second that. Sort of. I would love to have a tire rack that uses the T-rail. Think a giant letter "I" that connects at each end, all 4. (I'm talking a capital letter "eye" the way you wrote it in elementary school) The tire mounts to the middle. Want to close the tonneau for aero? quick disconnect the rear-most two connection points and pivot the entire thing downwards.

Oops. Forgot, I need to get some sheetrock. Pivot the stand back up and clip it to the T-rail in the back. Voila! Out of the way.

If any of you print out my artwork and put it on your fridge, may god have mercy on your soul! @greggertruck , I'm looking at you.
I, too, am looking for something similar. It's one of my many projects slowly working it's way up to the top. My ideal solution is one that is attached to the T-rail (without having to remove the Cybertent hardware) and holds the tire on the passenger side just low enough to clear the tonneau (shelf steps down ~5").

Mine would allow the tonneau to close when it is pivoted down but would be fully above the T-rail when pivoted up so you would be able to load the bed.

I thought about it and would make one like this:
The red is just the right side of the device. It would support the tire and connect to the left side somehow. But, this is how one side would function:

This is the normal position. The red part is pivoted down. The green "travel bar" is positioned as shown. It connects to the red part in a way that it can be easily removed when needed. It also disconnects from the T-rail easily.

Tire up so you can put lumber underneath. The travel bar is removed and placed in a storage position aiming down. It is non-structural at this point and could, in fact, be removed completely:

Finally, here it is in the rare "I need to haul something tall but don't want to remove the tire" mode. The travel bar is attached to the front receiver that hung down so when the whole thing is pivoted upwards, it attaches about 18" from the front one:

I see an advantage to this in that you could keep your tire under the tonneau most of the time but could rotate it up a little for long access to the bottom of the bed for things like doors or sheetrock. Then, for the hot water heater, you could rotate the tire so that the rack is vertical. If done right, a couple of well-placed D-rings would make it so you could secure the water heater to the rack for a little more stability.

I'm going to make one out of 2x4s and some steel (I'm no welder) as a trial.

IF it looks like it would work like I'm thinking, that is.

Please advise. (I don't have a spare just yet. Soon, maybe. But, not yet)

Wifi-enabled solar-powered camera above tonneau. Just glue it to the top, no wires to run

I got my dad a license-plate reverse camera with solar power and wireless data connection. $100 at Costco. Please make something like that so we don't have to rip apart the truck to install.

We were just discussing it last night. It would be nice to have something to be able to grab onto , whether getting in vehicle, or off roading for the passenger.

I really want a rear-view mirror screen from Tesla that taps right into the back camera. I know third party ones exist, but Tesla had the rear-view mirror screen on the prototype people got test drives in. I really wish they didn't scrap it.
