Tesla should automatically go in sports mode if you floor throttle

Tesla should program their cars so that when you press the accelerator all the way down in Chill Mode, it temporarily gives Sport Mode acceleration. Sometimes you need instant power to get out of a dangerous situation, but you don’t want to drive in Sport Mode all the time just to have that option available.

It seems logical that if the pedal is fully pressed, the driver is asking for maximum response. A temporary override would improve safety and make the driving experience more intuitive.

I agree…This is the main reason i have my CB in beast mode acceleration all the time. Sometimes you just need to punch it and get max acceleration.
I keep my truck on a custom profile with beast acceleration, relaxed ride and higher ride hight. Best of everything for comfort and speed.

Your half-shafts aren’t gonna be happy with those settings…despite that I agree with you and OP…ask me how I know?!

I submitted this feedback last year. Full pedal should equal full power independent of drive mode.

There is already a device capable of regulating power to the motors....it's called an accelerator pedal.
