Longer you wait you risk prices going up in this day and age.

Facts! Already an apt woth tesla for a fresh set of OEM ATs & PCS on Monday. But thinking maybe in the near future I get some atomic AW10 rims and some of these handy tires. Just keeping my eyes open for now.

Why pay the 2k+ for oem tires? These are like $1200 for the 4. Atomic look so nice.

Another option is 285/60/20

Both close to stock size and many less expensive options than stock pirellis or goodyears

That would work and be wider, 275 might be more efficient less tire patch I don’t see that listed

What’s your thoughts on the Hankooks?
I still need lighter core wheels or aftermarket to shave off another 5 to 10lbs per wheel.
As mentioned, I do not care that much for looks, so for that Hankooks are OK.

For efficiency I have now a few more miles, 330mi. Usage 365Wh/mi, exactly the same as my lifetime average. Too few miles to be statistically relevant, at the same time not a large difference already. So current view is that the Hankooks are OK. Will have more data after next weekend, when back from a trip to SoCal, will add around 1100 miles mostly highways plus some off roading.

Price, as stated before, is (very) good compared to the other tires mentioned a lot on this forum, like the Michelins and the OEM Pirelli or Goodyears. So Hankooks also (very) OK.

Only point for me is the tire pressure. I started with the 50 as you mentioned, while the America’s Tire guys recommended 47. I found 50 a little “hard” feel when driving local streets, so lowered to 48. I think the feel is a little better. But these kind of comparisons are very subjective. I don’t know (and don’t think) if tire pressure has a noticeable impact on efficiency?

Question mark is how low I can/should go with tire pressure when going off road. There are very different opinions on this forum. And I don’t know how bad it would be for the Hankooks if I go (too) low. Will see next weekend at the Cyber Odyssee if there are more experienced people who can advice me.

Yes, definitely in that range. I weighed mine when new and I can't recall the exact weights but they were somewhere around 96 lbs. each, as I recall.
Wait, that's for the Cyber wheels, I think the Core wheels might be a little lighter.

My experience is that tire pressure makes a big difference....I have my factory pirelli's in the 50-60 range.

for offroading I have a wrangler, in terms of lowest air down without beadlocks....I go down to around 18psi offroading and have not had an issue with 35's on 17" rims....but tough to say on the cybertruck as it is much heavier and you really don't want to lose the bead on it

I didn't realize that max is 51.....I thought the CT recommended 50 cold so I set them a couple psi over that...they tend to trickle up on days like today to 56 or so and down on cold days here in NJ

thanks, grant it I don't think it actually is a major risk to run a few psi too high but I'm going to lower them down a bit

Keep us posted on the tires. I had ion evos on my x plaid and loved them. I just bought a set of off brand all terrain tires a couple days ago For my cybertruck. I used the same brand but all seasons on the plaid. They were a little noisy but the tire was great. The feedback online I gathered was I would likely die for not putting a name brand tire on my car, but 15,000 mile later in 8 months I not only survived but the tires worked out great. That was even with 30+ drag strip launches with 1,000+ horsepower.
So far on the all terrains they ride super nice but a little noisy. If I can find another set of wheels I might use the ions as my daily tires and keep my current ones for backup and beach trips.

Next datapoint on range. Did a 1250 mile trip over the weekend, almost/all freeway, on FSD, Standard mode. Campbell to LA to Blythe to Campbell, all in CA. Included around 100 miles of off road driving, desert dirt roads.

My previous 23k miles average with the Pirelli Scorpions was 365.3 Wh/mi
Since getting the Hankook tires I now have 1779 miles at 381.9 Wh/mi
A decrease (or is that called increase) of 4.5%
Not too bad for a tire that is a lot cheaper and should have longer (twice?) the durability. Durability still to be proven though.

Now my lifetime numbers are 24,904 miles at 366.5 Wh/mi.

Just before going on this roadtrip I had 500 miles at 362.6Wh/mi, so the roadtrip cost quite some efficiency. Maybe because it was hot, so the airco was on all the time? Also I had the outlets on for a mini fridge and Starlink, not sure if that amount (it is not that much) is included in the numbers the truck reports?

Ok I have more data for you all. 12% improvemen.
I did not have cyberwheel covers on this trip, so could have cost 2%
Anyway 1123 miles Texas to Colorado same route as last trip with Hankook ion ht vs LTX
Hankook 483wh/mi vs 550wh/mi LTX cyberwheel covers
One charger gave 2 issues but pretty respectable time.
Temps much warmer on this trip 70’s-90f vs 50-70’sF
