Ordered 2/10. Just arrived to delivery center yesterday, but on containment hold. Also told would receive more information on 5/8. This is my first Tesla purchase, and I’ve been very disappointed with the overall experience.

Starting to change my mind. Found a nice used F150 Powerboost with 29k miles and the 7.2kW inverter for 42k. Meanwhile, my delivery window just slipped to May 10th-May 15th and is still sitting in Austin.

Did the math towing and supercharging use - the CT ends up being the same price between electricity and gasoline when actually on the road & it's 40 min of charging for every 100~ miles towing vs 200-300 and 5 min fueling.

I was planning on actually using the CT as a truck and the $4.99 gas got me considering it, but the superchargers are just not a good value for actual travel/towing.

I still want the CT because I think it's cool and FSD is A+, but openpilot and having lane keep while towing may ultimately be the answer here.. sigh. Tesla just sucks so bad at communication.

Called this morning, still in Austin, delivery window slipped to May 10th-15th. They said the truck moved and it appears to be in staging for rail to Chicago area.

They said they still don't have the containment hold remedy and will message on the 8th.

I don't understand why they don't just get you another truck and fix this one on their own time.

I am surprised they told you what the hold is for. I messaged my SA today and they would give me zero indication on what the hold is for. Just more information on the 8th!

Cancelled the order, hope someone gets theirs sooner!

They got back with me, they'll know more on 5/8/26 as that's when the factory said they'll have an update on rectification steps (or at least some communication from them). They also said it's still being shipped & they will do the work at the SC.

We'll see what they say on the 8th. Factory has historic terrible communication with SCs, esp around containment holds. Also not sure yet why it's still sitting in Austin either way.

My date to take delivery was to be 5/09/26 & the dealership called me the evening of 5/08 to delay. Today (5/11) I spoke with a service center person and heard "Containment hold" & "VSH Splay" issue for the first time. As of today, the SC said there is nothing documented in my ticket that indicates a fix is in progress. The man said to please be patient for a couple of days. I'm going to try. ugh

I called the SC this past Friday (5/15) since they hadn't contacted me. The man said he believes they'll be replacing the battery but, as has been everyone's experience, couldn't offer any kind of estimate regarding a timeliness.

Have had zero luck getting any information from anyone. Spoke with the manager of the store yesterday who said he hopes to have this resolved by Friday, and that he would call the next day with more information. I received no such phone call. At this point I don't expect a resolution date, but would just like to know what the issue is!!
